Area I’m in was largely farmed until not too long ago. Plenty of irregular houses & lot sizes too. Worse liability here is finding an old fuel oil tank on your property. Cost of removal, permits & red tape is endless.

We never talk about the large tanks that were filled with interesting liquids that now have buildings on thick concrete pads built over top.

Not particularly fond of the solar farms especially if I lived far out in the country, I would not want to see that. Somebody said something about the huge windmills, man first time I saw those out in Oklahoma it was kinda spooky. It honestly seemed like something out of a movie.

I woke up feeling froggy today and did the first thing I would assume every realtor would tell somebody before they list a property- pressure wash every square inch of asphalt and concrete on the property. I'm about 3/4 done and making decent time- my neighbor stops me and says Ive got the circular wand, give it a shot. I'm about to fire it back up and finish. Pressure washing- its a menial task but I actually enjoy it...dont tell the wife..

Using Man lifts makes these jobs so much easier .

2 Machines in case one quits? One for AC power one to weld?

Many years back a co-worker and I (both of us big guys) were up on a similar but smaller manlift like that.

We had the "porch" section extended out and both of us were out there leaning way out over the front pulling on a big pipe wrench.

    :benchpress: :benchpress:

Simultaneously we both detected an odd sensation...:confused:
    .
    .
    .
Then realized it was the rear wheels of the lift coming off the ground -- about 19 feet below us.

    :censored: :rocket: << Rusty
    :censored: :rocket: << Rusty's co-worker

Squealing like teenage girls at a Shaun Cassidy concert we both scrambled (uphill) to the back of the lift and felt the rear tires hit the concrete with a solid thud and clang.

After we got our heart rates down below 200 we much more cautiously continued the work (and from that day forward).

It is safe to say we both learned a valuable lesson that day...

Just could not quite get the Man Lift into the correct spot .

Being on Two different ladders would suck more.

He got both last week and just putting some hr on the booth, he bought them and was told they didn’t work, did a plug change and fixed the grounds and boom 2 beautiful welding generators . He knows every thing mechanical. I’ve gotten better being married to his sister for the last 23 years and learned a lot from him. He recently told me I have gotten better from the beginning :anonymous:

Evening guys, I did give the condenser a good cleaning this morning, a nice collection of dog hair was removed. Unfortunately, the fix required a bit more work

    upload_2023-9-9_19-45-40.jpg

This was after 2 forced refrigerator defrost cycles just so I could get the evaporator cover off. Samsung makes crappy refrigerators.

Wife's hair dryer on low. I’m afraid my heat gun would warp the hell out of the plastic.

Took about 10 minutes with the dryer then I dried the wall and copper off with some paper towels and ran another forced fridge defrost cycle. I got it all back together, it cooled off pretty quick and has been running fine.

I found a secondary heater kit online this afternoon that goes on the copper lines and top of the coil, wiring ties in with the factory heater coil. It’s supposed to be the “fix” that Samsung refused to do. The kit also included a heated drain line for the ice maker which is another pain in the butt with this thing. The entire kit is $100, I think I’ll give it a shot.

I don’t suppose they give you an option to increase defrost cycles or duration either. :annoyed:

I had a problem with the evaporator coil icing over on our fridge, the problem was a factory wimpy foam gasket allowing the air to go around the coil. Some thicker foam from Slowes fixed the problem.

Like this, peel off the backing and it sticks well on a clean dry surface.

:gossip: Fun fact. You can restore the old ones just by using a low calibre heat gun to reshape ‘em with a little TLC.

The wimpy original was 1/4" wide and about 1/8" thick -- and falling off...

The manly new material is about 3/4" wide and 1/2" thick. :muscleflexing:

Yessir. :burp: Those high volume beer fridge’s always seem to frost up & wear out fast. Best oil the hinges while you’re under the hood.

No options to increase the defrost cycles, all you can do is enter the diagnostic mode and run the forced fridge or fridge/freezer defrost cycle.

The foam seals are adequate on the coil cover, there’s really no room to put in thicker foam. Biggest problem is the factory defrost coil just isn’t big enough, only covers the bottom of the coil, it can’t keep up with the moisture as it cycles.
