I kinda dig the rake.... Front is still unchanged, gonna knock out the front tomorrow or Monday

 

Yeah it was almost 100 today, but I didn't start till about 430 when it cooled down a tad. Just realized suddenly I had a window to get some of this done which rarely happens anymore lol. Barely finished in time to get Sofia ready for bed

 

Yeah the rear is super quick and easy fortunately

 

Yeah for never having done rear springs and what not it was pretty easy. I don't know why that first video I watched talked about having to loosen the panhard and whatever else, all I had to do was disconnect the sway bar like we talked about. And unbolt the brake line from the diff. From there the axle dropped low enough I just had to use a pry bar to pop the old springs out and put the new ones in. Shocks were no big deal.

Worst part of the whole thing was how fucking filthy everything was, could tell the PO let this sit for a long time those few years he had it. Fucking birds nest and gobs of farmland dirt everywhere, I looked like I came out of a coal mine when I got done

 

Oh I forgot you were doing the brake line as well.

Yeah rear was like an hour job at most; getting the brake line to catch those threads though without crossthreading that by itself can get frustrating.

That's crazy though for some reason I had thought the coils were left outside (uninstalled) not that they came out that way

 

Oh no I didn't do the brake line, didnt want to fuck with that and bleeding the brakes when I'm on a time crunch lol. That will be some other time in the future. Probably pick up one of those solo bleeding kits so I don't have to have Rebecca help me with it

I may of missed it but did you do the pan hard bar extension?

It got to 102° here just south of Riverside. Was super clear unlike the 90s when I was growing up here.

I didn't, had heard that it was really only necessary for 2+ in of lift. But if it comes down to it I'll order it

 

Ran a 13.631 in the AMG but still a bit disappointed. I really want to see it into the 12s so we are going to have to put some meat into the launch and pray it hooks. One more run to go tonight.

Corrected for elevation it's a 12.9 so at least I have that going for me.

Yeah I saw the eimkeith kit on SRQs site when I got the other stuff, almost ordered it but figured I'd wait and see....if I do I'll plan another trip up lol

 

And bring the 4R, we'll get it welded up in no time
