My sister's. We live quite close, so it's basically the same as having a dog, but I don't have to feed/board the pooch. Gives me a great stand-in now that I don't have Draco, without any of the cost.

Well, after replacing it on Sunday, it appears the intermittent non-start issue was some sort of developing defect in the battery. Cranks strong as ever, every time, now. My suspicion (that I've read is a possibility) is the terminal becomes separated from the battery plate internally. Makes sense then that twisting the terminal a little bit would often solve the issue.

:fingerscrossed: *now that I've said that out loud.

    ...I jinxed it. :boom:

Swapping terminals next since if I just wiggle the positive, it fixes the issue.

Haven't had a house update since @RyanL was just casually snapping pics in my driveway a while back. May need to have a buddy swing by and snap me a pic for proof of life.

Good news of living in an apt is just having to fill out a maintenance request to get anything done instead of it falling on yours truly.

Yeah, it's a slee mount (old style) so it has a few connection points. I have the terminal piece that touches the battery but the secondary shoe piece is no longer in production so I'm hoping just swapping terminal and hardware fixes the issue.

Got called out on my tires today. Apparently they're a little balder than I thought. I love my Cooper ST Maxx but damn they're heavy, and they've really gone up in price too.

Looking at Toyo Open Country AT3 and the Falken Wild Peak A/T3W unless there's other suggestions. Leaning towards the Toyos at this point based on recent feedback about balancing issues.

@Discount Tire is there a policy against mounting tires on SCS wheel? I thought I had heard of one spoken of around here before.

I know multiple people with them and they all have good things to say. Seems there been a rash of recent complaints about them balancing though.

I've been happy with the Cooper Discoverer AT3's I put on my wife's Tahoe last fall. They plowed through last winter like a champ. Gonna put a set on the Tundra when I have the cash.

EDIT: Wildpeaks would be my runner up if I couldn't get the Coopers for my Tundra.

also, note to future self:don't lag on projects. Have a front spindle I need to replace that I bought last August and put it off and now living in an apartment, no shop nearby will touch a customer supplied part (despite being a toyota part still in a toyota box) :frusty: I get it from the liability standpoint, but sure is frustrating when I know what the issue is and have the fix, just not the facilities to do it.

@Gunshot-6A the only thing that might keep us from mounting a tire would be wheel width. If the manufacturer states that a 265/70R17 Toyo A/T3 requires a 6.5-9 inch wide wheel, we would not install them on a 6inch or 9.5 inch wheel.
