Yes ice vehicles catch fire, usually after a crash or more common an electrical system failure. These are the same rearson for most EV fires. ICE vehicles can be extinguished with water with in minutes, and often do not reignite.

I can't recall an ice vehicle fire extinguished by being loaded into a dumpster and buried in wet sand.

This guy's Tesla caught fire after the battery pack was damaged. He likes his Tesla so much he is ordering another.

And horse fires were quicker to put out than ICE vehicle fires. But we accepted that trade off for the advancement in technology.

I'll try to explain this with science. Below you have the well established technology adoption curve. This is incredibly basic and estabished science 101 as anyone that has gone into tech courses in college would know. Those that fall into the Laggard category on the far right substantially fear change and will typically try and spread any information to justify their fears as a desperate way to resist the change. Prime examples would be someone posting about EV fires when ICE fires are 60x more likely, a text book case of a Laggard. Proceed accordingly.

Was it a black Taycan? I saw a blacked out Taycan GTS the other day here in Colorado Springs and I think I may have drooled all over my shirt. Very few cars get me going like that one does.

Same clowns that say EV are the future will be in the streets protesting the decimation of the oceans after the undersea mining for all those minerals begins.

Replacing one problem with another isn't a solution

Having two problems does not mean they are equal in nature.

This is an immensly ironic statement considering all the damage oil has done to the oceans.

Do the anti EV crowd actually think there is no mining or resource extraction associated with making / maintaining / fueling ICE vehicles ?
