They lost me at charging for a Strava timed race. I really should support them but this is probably a ploy to pay for another shitty trail.

just depends on cost I guess.

BUMP here puts on a bunch of goofy free races for members. Jorts racing on wednesdays. Frienduros, wich are single stage enduros once a week. BUMP has a 20% off code for that Huntsville event.

Not good. Always a low level of pain and inflammation. Going up steps is not bad. Going down steps on the other hand doesn't feel the best.

That’s so cool that Idaho has plates repping that mtb life.

Never used mtb pants before. After brushing up on some poison ivy or poison oak in our recent camping trip in NorCal (Point Reyes area), I decided to get some. I got the Backcountry Slickrock Pants in chipmunk/red at their new store in L.A. at The Grove and the Outdoor Afro + REI Co-op Trail Pants in black/red at the local REI (…trying to keep w/ my tan/black/red and all shades in between theme.) I still gotta go ride in the Outdoor Afro REI pants to see how they do on the trails, but the pants both feel and look great: lightweight, stretchy, comfortable, breathable, with zippered pockets for minimal storage. So far, I’ve ridden with the Backcountry Slickrock pants one time; it was at a local bike park (Trek Santa Clarita Bike Park). The pants helped to protect my legs from the overgrown brush and a couple small crashes I had.

Also, the trip to REI became a NBD since I saw a Ghost Kato Base hardtail for a great price. I was originally planning to get the Marin San Quintin 1 in tan/black/red for a hardtail to pair with their Alpine Trail XR, but it was more expensive. This Ghost Kato hardtail can be a great beater/loaner bike for the price it was at. The sales dude at the REI bike section said it was hanging up in their rafters for months and he advised for them to bring it down to try and sell it; so, they did that a few days before. It was my size, seat & handle bar were already positioned for a good fit and it was in a color I was down with: the chocolate color. (Stay down. Stay brown. -Rex Navarette). It’s like the bike was just waiting for me to show up and get it.
    Fresh from REI:

Got the KS LEV dropper post and added some touches of red with the Origin8 pedals and ESI grips.

Well if you had to come to GA you timed it perfectly. It has been ridiculously hot here the last few weeks.

In Boise, people were saying the humidity was high (32%). They don't even know.

Wow! I went back to look. Is that rear tire not resting in the tray?

not sure how these racks work, but it almost looks like a kids bike tray.

The Thule hitch rack i rented had a rear tray that tilted depending on the wheel base of the bike. Then a strap goes through it to hold it to the rack. You can see the strap in the picture. Makes me glad I have a 1up
