    Hello everyone,

This is my first Tacoma, and I bought it new with only 11 miles, it now has 360 miles. I am disappointed, however, that my trim is pulling up. It isn't a huge issue, but I wondered if anyone knew why it was happening and how to fix it. Should I bring it to the service center? Thanks for any information.

Make them fix it, it's brand new, hold them accountable.

Isn't warranty a big rationalization tool for many to chose to buy new?

    Use it.

i bet your kids are picking at it. that piece of trim moves easily. it's not pulling up so much as someone is pulling it towards the middle of the window opening. push it back onto the metal door frame.

if that doesn't work and it keeps popping off, then that should be a warranty thing.

because i'm a kid at heart, and i've already picked, pulled, and re-installed that trim.

just because some rubber molding isn't laying exactly where it ought to be doesn't mean that the entire truck is defective.

    Happens a lot.
The seal sticks to the body and when you open the door, it pulls it out of the channel.
I usually used door ease on the weatherstrip facing the body and had no problems after.
The weatherstripping needs to be installed correctly. I also use weather strip adhesive
In spots to secure it to the channel better.

If you are talking about the window channel it’s a different procedure.
