    Just getting started.
I see the Zulu windscreen now supports cutouts for DD light bars. Hoping that becomes an option for the Alpha.

Swapping a new cutout design to an old fairing shouldn't be difficult at this point in the design stage, IMO.
If I need to update my entire roofrack every time I want to change lighting setups to get the same clean look, I will quit buying. Straight up.

After some research, I THINK you are correct.

I like that I can keep updating my rack with the new products and different mounts.
The ability to swap is a necessity for me. I am not a fan of being locked in to a mount or bracket or being forced to self fab.
I am far too indecisive for that.
    Very cool.

Designed and ordered a little box for between the rear most rail on the Bravo rack to hide wires and my lighting control box.
Ordered in steel that I will paint and I will probably just do a kydex lid. Not water tight but should not really take up space and be out of sight.

I recently bought a new front fairing for my Bravo. I called to order it, as I wanted one that wasn't powder coated so I could do my own cut outs for a couple Diode Dynamics light bars. It was mentioned then that I could use the new fairing with the DD cut outs I believe, but I am doing stage series lights bars, not the SS5s. Anyway, not sure if the Bravo and Alpha fairings are the same, but it sounds like you should be able to use the new Zulu fairing with the older racks? Don't quote me on that, but definitely give them a call and ask. They are always super helpful.

If anyone is interested in what a couple of stage series 12" bars looks like on a Bravo, I'll post pictures when it's done. I still have to actually cut them and stuff, so it might be a bit...

that looks mighty fancy. I just cut a couple pieces of steel flat bar to do the same essentially, but its nowhere near as nice as this. Good job!

Next up. Get rid of zip ties and find a better way to run the wires.

I wish I had a good story. Just took the 1 year old for a walk on the beach and torn the ankle up. 40 is hitting hard.

Looking good! For running parallel across the bars, check out a few options here: Accessories | TNUTZ
For running perpendicular across the bars, I have found some square or rectangular aluminum tubing powder coated to match works well. I will grab a picture for you in a bit, but I just drilled holes through it. One for the side that gets mounted, and opposite that a larger hole to fit the screw head through.

Also, if anyone is interested, here is my first try at a fairing to accommodate two Diode Dynamics Stage Series 12" bars. The good folks at UpTop were kind enough to sale me an unfinished fairing so I didn't have to strip it. I'll update after getting it coated and the lighting mounted.

Hey @upTOPoverland I didn’t know you guys sold cannabis all the way in the Northeast. I guess that’s why you dropped the overland part?

Those zip tie mounts for the tee slots are just what I need to finish off my scene pod install, thanks for the link to TNUTZ @Puppypunter. Question for y'all, I measured the tee slots in the UpTop load bars but does anyone know if the slots are a 10 Series (6mm) or 15 Series (8mm) "slot size". I'm not sure what part of the slot those measurements are referring to but the smaller "throat" (sorry I don't know the specific name) measured around 6.75mm.

Well, after owning my racks for over 3 years, I finally got rolling on "Operation Over-the-top-UpTop". I have had the holes cut in these forever (since before the Diode Dynamics SSC2s were actually released). So I finally got the lights mounted. There are 4 on the cab rack, and 4 on the topper rack. All 8 are @Diode Dynamics SSC2 Sport Floods with Amber Backlights. Shout out to my crack dealer, @memario1214 for getting me the lights. Then swapping the lights when I changed the plan. Then swapping them back again because I am very indecisive... I had the wedges 3D printed to aim them down about 15 degrees. They are on separate switches, so I can light up the left or right. Via a push button on/off switch, or via the switches on the Meso shifter (which also does a lot more). Anyway, after cutting the holes, I wanted to add some support back, and give it a place to run wires through. So I made the main raceways out of 1" X 1 1/2" Aluminum. The junction boxes are brazed on to be a little more water resistant. The small raceways are for a camera system, but more on that later.
    First, the lights:
    IMG_6687.jpg
Then the underside of the rack, so you can get an idea of how it all mounts together, and see some of the wire routing
    IMG_6691.jpg
Then the top side, which gives a good idea of what is going on in those junctions. I should note as well that all the boxes are about 1/8-3/16" below the plane of the cross bars when the lids are on, so as not to be in the way.
    IMG_6692.jpg
And lastly, a shot of how the front rack will connect to the rear rack.
    IMG_6693.jpg
Forgot to say thanks to @upTOPoverland as well for being cool about getting parts and what not as well

Oh no, now I might have to go to your dealer and get more of those lights. Did you get the SSC2 pros? My chinesium RGB lights are cool and all but ain't very bright.

How do you have the wiring setup for single side switching? What about routing, specifically how you get power? Like do you have a single wire to grab power from the battery and bring it up? I'm also curious as to what else your knob does.

    Your shifter, that is...:anonymous:
