I adventured into my attic to work on getting better ventilation up there.

 

Nope. Mid concert season so worked all weekend other than Monday and Tuesday.

Both day were totally socked in from smoke like I've never seen before too. Was like a fire was right next to us. Was weird.

 

Not really, went to the farm. Visited the automatic milk parlor down the road. Pretty wild.

Saw you went west for some golf? Where'd you play? Looked awesome!

 

Met up with some family and friends and played all 5 courses at Bandon dunes. Its an incredible place and had a blast. Some of the best golf in the country. I've got a long drive ahead of my today but as long as I'm not on my feet I'll be happy

 

Dang that's a lot of epic golf!

I was able to play both sand valley courses this summer since they're only 2 hours from me. Was awesome.

 

Damn sand valley looks to be very nice! Actually similar to Bandon on a lot of ways. Highly recommend putting Bandon on your bucket list if you're into golf. The atmosphere was unlike any other course, amazing courses and overall a true golf destination. It was also fun to get the AMG on a long road trip. The car eats miles, and has all the passing power one could ask for. Between the wide open roads in central Oregon and the tight canyons near the coast, it was a thrill. 1200 flawless miles.

 

They dont call it the bandon dunes of the Midwest for nothing. It's a Keiser property same as Bandon. It's wild, it's in one of the poorest counties in WI. Keisers probably bought the land for tiddly winks...

 

Yeah it sounds like he bought the Bandon property for dirt cheap too. Guy knows how to turn land into epic golf courses. I heard he is now putting something in Colorado too. Is it like Bandon with no golf carts? I found that having a caddie was incredibly enjoyable. Had the same guy for all 5 rounds so he started to know what I could do, what clubs went what distance and was just awesome. Like on the last course we would walk up to a tee box and he had the club to hit waiting for us.

 

Yea no carts. The caddy culture was strong and we got lucky with a good one. So much more enjoyable with a caddy than a cart. Like you said they have seen it all and can adapt to your abilities. Worth paying them for! Was fun

 

Tam opened it's first 5 holes last weekend. The first 9 should be ready to play by the middle of the month. I'm not much of a golfer but it looks nice from the top of the mountain.

I saw you and Mark got together to run the WABDR. Looked like perfect weather and minimal smoke!

 

It was good to get out. The company was great as long as we stayed away from political discussions. The weather was perfect and no bugs and we had the entire route to ourselves. Some of the places on this route have changed quite a bit since we did it last time.

This is the "jungle" except there is no longer a jungle to block the views since the fires up there.

It makes you realize just how sketchy that road is.

But there's a lot to be learned around a campfire discussing differing opinions and perspectives with friends.

 

Absolutely agree. Differing perspectives can make for quite interesting conversations. But sometimes it just isn't worth the effort.

 

well i had to modify the bolt holes ever so slighly in the ebay solenoid kit for the 2 shift solenoids for it to work. I put it all back together with a new filter...and some additional improvement on the shifting feel, only shuddered a little bit one time... but ultimately I dont think it fixed the problem, as it still delays shifting a bit and takes an extra few seconds and rpms to get to 2nd.

If i keep going down the repair road it seems to point to a new valve body...and/or a full flush? Last stop being a full replacement?

Im so tired of this trasnmission BS lol
