You can't teach that style. He was so athletic that he didn't need to be technical sound. I can imagine his coaches were pulling tere hair out.

Perfect example of this is Larry Bird and Michael Jordan; one does all things technical (and is great) whereas the other has talent (also great).

Same can be said for several boxers as well.

reminds me of some quote relating to photography I heard years ago, I don't remember it verbatim but it was along the lines of how you need to learn proper technique when you start out in order to break all the rules later and find your own style.

I’m enjoying the hell out if it.

and honestly the least buggy Bethesda game I’ve played. Still bugs. But nothing like older games

Some of these athletes grew up street fighting (boxers and MMA fighters alike) or playing ball on the streets, others started at an early age on the court or in the ring.

Easier to bring someone up to stardom if they're taught everything the right way from the get go, but others were just undeniably talented AF.

Do you feel the exploration bit of it to be limited?

I love the openness of their games, but have read that it's extremely compromising when it comes to Starfield.

The ship customization aspect of it is supposed to be fun as hell though.

Exploration this far has been fun and varried. Went to earth and found remnants of the pyramids.. kinda neat. Easy to get lost in little side missions. Is it no man’s sky? No. Is it good? As of now yes. Ship customization is sweet. Outposts too. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Really no major complaints right now

Dang, I know you value your time off so that's really good to hear.

Been wanting to try a game that'll keep me awake and alert.

Flying is fun but it's too relaxing.

I haven't called yet. I will in a minute when I take a break. Hopefully I get the shop owner on the phone. One of the new techs eve told me once "we don't work on cars older than 2000." As if a 2006 Altima couldn't be the biggest shitbox in the world.

that's a weird thing for a shop to say. I could sorta understand if it were in the northeast and they figured all 20+ year old cars were rusted to hell but otherwise, you'd think it'd be easier to work on them than something much newer

    @eon_blue

Who are "famous names" that'd be mentioned when you went to school for photography?

I should rephrase, actual photographers people should inspire to follow if they wanted to do it as a career? Feel many times a lot of us (not in the business) are just familiar with a single photo without ever knowing the photographer behind the camera.

One that comes to mind is this one -

    New tech could've been young.

There's a reason they call them techs and not actual mechanics.

I think they're afraid of some other part going bad a week later since it's an old truck, and the owner trying to blame the shop. I can also understand why a shop wouldn't wanna work on some knuckleheads 92 Ranger that's been sitting for 6 months with a bad head gasket or something like that, but it's weird to have a hard cut off at 2000.

It's hard to find good techs nowadays. A lot of people are leaving the industry or moving to fleet work.

    Leaving trades in general.

You have no idea how bad the demand is for welders here, offering great pay as well.

I have no idea who shot that except it seems like a lucky "just before the untimely mauling death of a camper" photo lol

it would probably depend on what area someone is aspiring to....tbh I haven't kept up on many in recent years but back in was in school...Nick Brandt, Nick Knight, Steven Miesel, Peter Lindbergh, Lara Jade...most of those are fashion, Nick Brandt is a really good wildlife photog though
