    Good evening everyone.

Wasn't sure if you saw me or remembered my 'runner! At least this time when I passed you, I wasn't in the firewood truck. I love that old T4R, I wish it would run forever and the frame would self-heal from the rot.

I understand that dual climate control and heated seats! One of the reasons I ended up with a PRO...by the time I added it all to the OR it was just a tad more for the PRO

So I posted this pic in my build thread but it didn’t stir up much discussion. I found this little fella in one of my rear tires when I was checking the tread depth.

I assume it’s stone drilling since I do a lot of gravel/dirt trails and these Grabbers collect rocks like it’s a hobby. Have any of you guys/gals had a tear like this before? Could it be dry rot? I’m hoping it doesn’t turn into a problem because I’m driving to Canada next month .

Looks like you just drove over something sharp that slightly ripped into the tread. Not a whole lot to do for it… obviously, you can put some soapy water over the spot. And look for bubbles to see if any air is leaking out. If not… you can really only leave it be, or if it really concerns you… put a plug in it. But it doesn’t look like rot to me. You can definitely see a slightly wider spot in the center of the mark. Definitely looks like it’s a puncture. If it were me, I’d just make sure no leak and leave it be. Chances of something else hitting that spot directly and pushing through are extremely minimal.

Ok cool, that’s what I was thinking as well. I already checked and it’s not leaking so my only real concern was if someone who has experienced dry rot thinks it’s dry rot and then I would be worried about it spreading, or appearing elsewhere.

Fortunately these are E rated (this is exactly why I have E rated tires) so it takes a lot to puncture all the way through.

    Thanks!

Howdy all. I have to replace the hardware holding my kayak carrier to my truck. It was an off brand carrier, so of course the hardware wasn't stainless, apparently...

I need to do the same… apparently CBI doesn’t believe in good old stainless hardware either for their overland bed bars… just one of those things I think about when I wash the truck and see them, but forget about by time I’m done. Lol!

Yup. I'm thinking of getting my hood and roof wrapped for protection, and glare on my hood

Also, that 'offroad show' in Elkton just seems jankier and jankier. It's no longer listed as an off road show, now it's a "Jeep and Truck Jam." Originally it was scheduled for the 16th, but they moved it. So now, based on their own posts, it is either the 23rd or the 26th? They still won't answer questions as to whether it's an offroad-flavored car show or if they'll actually have vendors, activities, etc. for people who do off-roading.

Yeah lol. I’m picturing a parking lot full of trucks with 14” wide tires and the Carolina squat.
