@Speedytech7 did you say it’s actually harder to replace the HP and LP steering hoses than the rack itself?

 

Only the high pressure fitting on the rack side is tough. The rest are fine

 

They’re better suited to North American style trails IMO. A lot of the off road routes in Aus are just long washboard roads with a few obstacles thrown in. Jeep’s are better on technical tracks, but don’t hold up as well to the long term abuse like a Land Cruiser.

 

Just cause it’s tight? Also do you have the drain the fluid before you start, or just put cardboard down to catch it all? Thanks.

Just let it all fall out on the ground. The fitting is in a bad spot and just is t easy to undo. The return I just take the clamp off and take the barb out once the rack is off the truck

No I haven’t bought it yet. I also don’t have a torque wrench. I borrowed one from autozone for a couple jobs, but maybe harbor freight has a decent one. I’d need some flare wrenches too.

Harley has learned to wait until after Dex is conked out from his long night walk to use his big paws as a scratching post. Normally it irritates Dex but after his walk he just lets it happen lol
