Hey all! I recently just bought a Bilstine 6112/5160 kit along with a icon 3 leaf aal for 1.5 inches. I've been reading through a whole bunch of forums and have noticed people complaining about vibrations. Although, it seems to be split down the center for those who have and those who don't have any of these vibrations.

I have already bought a carrier-bearing drop kit(OME FK29) since it seems to be one of the first things that people do as a preventative measure. I have a 2020 TRDOR with 265 70 17 Falken wild peak at3w's for reference.

I'm planning to go 1.5 all around so if anyone could shed some light on this that would be great. If anyone has any pictures of how the truck looks with a similar setup that would be amazing too!

Vibrations come various areas. Wheels,, tires, drive shaft, needle bearing, rear axle not set on a proper angle.
Is it 2wd or 4wd.... see how many questions can be asked without proper details

I’d install the lift and see if you have any vibs.
If not, you saved yourself time and money.
No need to fix stuff that doesn’t need fixed.

it's a 4wd I'm putting on the lift this weekend so I don't know specifics yet, but I'd like to know what I'll need so I can do it while the truck is apart:)

    1.5” isn’t a lot.
It seem the chances you will get vibs is greater when you go 2” or more.
That’s why I said, Throw the lift on. Go from there.

Lol kinda figured the same, but the thing is that I could leave the factory overload in there and just do a full 2 inch lift with the kit, I haven't decided yet:)

It’s not a bad idea to have parts on hand.
But then, why have parts if you aren’t going to use them?

I will be the first to admit. I don’t “like” working on my truck.
Which takes me back to my first reply. Lift only first….

You can do as @TnShooter says, install the lift and run with it and hope for the best. But if you get vibrations, you'll need to take apart the driverside suspension and little more to get the ecgs bearing in. Best just to do it all at once for piece of mind.

Cause I eventually will... I have 2 suspensions in my garage, stock and 5100s. When my icons need to be rebuilt, I can put on the 5100s and still use the truck.

Have you had any vibration issues with the 2 inch lift?

I am 2wd, so I don't deal with the needle bearing issue.
Yes, I have had many issues with the truck, suspension, front and rear and the rack and pinon. Also with brakes. I have solved them all, but are just going to come back no matter what. After 6.5 years, meh. It will either break down and die or keep getting from point a to b.
I used to go out almost every weekend off roadind and or fishing. Working on the truck for 4 years. I kind of got burnt out and tired of spending a ton of money.
