This one is a 1996. 2RZ engines are damn good engines as well. I've seen them with 6-700k. Insanity

 

Oh, for sure… same with the 4.0’s. Worst thing Toyota did was dump the older 4.0’s for the new 3.5’s. Don’t get me wrong… I love my truck and my 3.5 has plenty of power. I haul a 3200 pound pontoon boat almost every weekend, and it’s great. I just think the 4.0 was a better setup for a truck. They could have kept it, like they did with the T4R, and just revived it and bumped the output a bit.

 

4.0 is put in the gasoline versions of the 79 Land Cruiser. It has quite the pedigree for sure. I don't tow with my truck but I do haul a lot of cleaner for my business. 56 gallons every weekend, truck drives like there's nothing back there.

 

Now that sounds like a keeper. Looks like one now, too!

 

I'm with you on that one. My younger brother lives in Jacksonville, the northern most city in the state. I used to go down for Thanksgiving weekend and it was a nice break from the cold weather here, but it's just too crowded. Even their "country/rural" areas look like the 'burbs around here, except in the swamps.. we would take the boat out and look for 'gaters .. it was pretty back in the cypress swamps.

 

For me it was no Tacoma or heated seats. Happy wife = happy life

 

Completely fine and normal. I have had three sets of Falkens in a row all do that and never leaked

Morning MD...wish me luck today...taking the Tacoma to the dealer for warranty service for a few things...squeak in the left front suspension, noisy clutch pedal, and what seems to be misfires in the 2-2500 RPM range under light load. Going to be a pain in the ass because I don't trust them at all and especially to have someone not screw my clutch up.

The chance that something sharp enough hits that one spot is pretty slim but you shoukd get yourself a plug kit to keep in the vehicle just in case

That 2000-2500 rpm thing is more than likely normal. My 6MT does the same thing. Super annoying.

Taking my truck in for state inspection this morning, but the place I go to they know how to drive manual. Most of them are farm boys that were driving a tractor as soon as they could reach the pedals

 

I can certainly ask, how many others are interested in either hood or roof wrapping?
