Good morning John and Mark, have a great Tuesday!

Mot too good on the master cylinder front, I called the dealership Friday and spoke to a service advisor who of course couldn’t help me. I asked to speak to the service manager and was told he was “took off today, but will give him the message”. No phone call from him yesterday, I called them about 3:00 and was told he was “out of the office”. Going to try again today but not expected any luck. I’ve found the master cylinder assembly online at McGeorge Toyota for $1150, cheapest I’ve found it . I expect to be ordering it this evening.

Good morning Mark, have a great Wednesday!

The master cylinder saga continues. Yesterday the assistant to the service manager did call me back after I left a message for the second time. She didn’t have a clue about my issue so nothing was passed on from the service advisor, imagine that  I explained it again, she said she would talk to the service manager and call me back which she surprisingly did. The response, I would need to go to the dealership closer to me that did the 2 free oil changes because they had “service history with me” and the dealership where I bought it from didn’t o_O But you can see that in the Toyota service system so what difference does it make.

Im pretty fed up with it. I don’t expect any help from Toyota at this point. I did call McGeorge Toyota who has the cheapest prices online that I’ve found and spoke to a real live human in the parts department. He was able to confirm they do have a bare master cylinder with out the hydro solenoid for only $725:annoyed: At least it’s a little cheaper than the entire assembly

Eye doc appointment today and goofing off with my buddy today, I’ll deal with this tomorrow.

My downtown (mowing) chores are done for the week - all 7 of them today. :bananadead:
I should go round and trim tomorrow, probably won't - I hate trimming.

I saw that in the shop thread, that was a lot of mowing. I hate trimming too, luckily I only have a small amount I have to do at the house. Now my wife's business, it sucks, 2 ditches to do there. All with the weed wacker, no way to mow them.

I have one of these Swisher walk behind trimmers, pretty much a lawn mower engine with a belt driven trimmer head.

It works great for heavy duty work although I haven't used it in years. It has a Briggs engine and like every rope start Briggs I have ever had it is an absolute pig to get restarted when hot.
Cold it will start with 1-2 pulls - hot...

You tie the heavy trimmer line on, eventually you need a new piece - which requires shutting the engine off... You see where this leads.

Something about pulling that rope that just raises your blood pressure exponentially.

That’s a serious trimmer, you can do some damage with it. At least until you have that hot shutdown lol. I bet it will get your blood pressure up. Probably work on that rotator cuff too lol

I did some errands around town yesterday, planned on doing the yards - even had the trimmer in the truck...
... and said the heck with it.

Cranked up the wagon and went 72 miles for an ice cream, it was a nice afternoon. :D
