Short version - having worked in the medical field for the last 30 years and having a child with a genetic disorder, if there's one thing my wife doesn't skimp on, it's insurance.

Probably won't help with the current issue, but have you completely replaced the fluid recently?

That was in no way a slam on you (or anyone), just thoughts I have, my wife won't skimp on insurance either. :fistbump:

Always felt like insurance of most types are a scam and here's why:
    1. They can raise their rates arbitrarily whenever they want.
    2. You never get back what you put in.
    3. They can drop you for any reason they deem warranted, without refund of any of your money.

For example, they could charge you 1200 a year for 20 years, then turn around and drop you because you get into a fender bender that might not have even been your fault. Not gonna get a new car, don't pass go, don't collect $200. Not saying all places are the same, just that it's a real possibility.

Or better yet, we filed home insurance for hail damage on our roof, had an assessor come out out, give us a random number he thought they should pay, then we had the roofers come and do their thing. Took the insurance company over 2 years to pay the roofers what they agreed so the roofers could send us the bill for the rest. Luckily the roofing company was really nice about and told us we wouldn't owe a dime till insurance paid up. We ended up dropping the insurance company over it and switching to another group after the first year because if that's how they operated, then it wasn't for us. They finally did pay up though. Apparently they either fired that agent or he quit and no one ever looked over his claim work till 2 years passed. o_O

Just an addendum to your list above.
I thought the same way for a long time.
My wife was in an auto accident a few years ago. It was the other guys fault. However, he played the 'ol injury card and sued my wife and our insurance, since they had shit insurance and we had great insurance. We have always carried an umbrella policy, for situations like this. It is dirt cheap for a $$$$$$$$ policy. So, our insurance company was negotiating and they were going to give this cat $350K! The dude of course wanted more, and his shyster of a lawyer said we will see you in court. A few years later they finally made it to court and the case went before a jury.
He won. The amount he won? $19K. So our insurance was willing to pay him $350K. He pushed and lost his ass.
But, my point is, since I have been paying for insurance the past 42 years and will continue for another undetermined amount of time, I will never pay $350K for all my insurances put together. So, in this case, I was going to get back way more than I put in.

Good morning guys, have a great Tuesday!

I’m playing pool repair guy today. I’ve been noticing a leak under my pump piping but hadn’t located the source, thought it might be the impeller seal on the Polaris pump. Finally found it yesterday afternoon, it’s a junction on the chlorinator housing that’s next to the pump. I was afraid I was going to have to cut out some PVC sections and plumb in new but learned there are a couple of o-rings in there. Hoping that will take care of it.

On the Tacoma master cylinder front, I called the dealership Friday and spoke to a service advisor who of course couldn’t help me. I asked to speak to the service manager and was told he was “took off today, but will give him the message”. No phone call from him yesterday, called them about 3:00 and was told he was “out of the office”. Going to try again today but not expected any luck. I’ve found the master cylinder assembly online at McGeorge Toyota for $1150 :annoyed:, cheapest I’ve found it. I expect to be ordering it this evening.

How far away is the dealership, perhaps a trip to see him in person would be more productive.

:gossip: Maybe a few of your friends from the old job could tag along, I bet he would be available then...
