Bought a new 23 TRD OR DCLB this past year.

Not a car person or mechanic type, but wanted something to make my own and have for the next few decades.

Not dedicated for on or off road, overlanding, etc but looking to slowly make it a more capable jack of all trades.

If you are in an area where rust is a problem this is your #1 issue to protect the truck long term.

 

I'm all over the place being AD.

Every time I drive back from the northeast I spray down my undercarriage regardless of season. Being from up there, I've had my fair share of beater vehicles die bc of rust.

A brand new truck is an excellent candidate for Cosmoline RP-342, spend a few hours doing a good job and the protection will last for a long time.
Just inspect and touch up every fall.

Inadequate unless you go for a few days a year and do a full flush, including the boxed areas.

If you have more time in salt than that, I'd suggest springing for a proper rust protection treatment, either DIY or paid, with quality product.
