Actually the efficiency is huge over the old supercharger.
It puts out the same power with 4 pounds of boost compared to 7 pounds and heat soaked issues I have not seen and I’m not running methanol now,
And you hit full boost much quicker,
Power does not drop off like the old supercharger either from heat.

the dyno graph shows the hp still claiming at redline too where the old supercharger it was going south before redline

I live at sea level, but I like to go up to higher elevations sometimes lol.
I guess we'll maybe see more documented use cases on this new set up soon.

I always figured you were on a 2.2 or 2.1 pulley, but you were pushing 7psi on the old S/C?

That graph is awesome though- about the same peak power but also so much more power under the curve.

Very very curious how this will translate over to us OEM or OEM + Piggybacked setups. I'd like to think cooler intake temps and less parasitic loss at the crank will make for a very noticeable gain. I'm hoping to be able to add a lot of timing back to my map.

I'd buy it this second if I wasn't hopeful they will change the nose cone soon to allow for smaller pulleys.

When/if I get one, I'll can be a datapoint for:
    Sea Level pressure
ECU + Split Second 02 thingy + Greddy EMU
One of those super pingy 5vz's that pings at anything above atmospheric/0.5psi partial throttle.

I had a custom pulley 1.9” and boost was 7-8 at 6000 feet.
I lost about a pound with adding headers and varying with summer heat or winter temperatures.
You can see the power goes south at the higher rpm’s too unlike the 1320,
It’s funny because from years I’ve heard people say the power HP drop off was because of the cam valves.
Guess they were all wrong :bananadance:

How is partial throttle boost like?

Gong to add any timing on the tune?

Subbed, patiently deciding between the new setup or a turbo build!

Turbo will always get you more power but will take 30 hours to install and tuning because no direct fits.
Supercharger is 3 hours and your off maybe a little longer if your not sure what your doing

The fab work has been the biggest reason i haven't already gone for a turbo setup. Seeing the big bump in efficiency with the new TVS, I'm leaning in that direction now. Just wanna be sure it has at least some upward mobility in terms of boost.

At sea level the boost will be around 7-8 pounds,
I know the 1320 has plenty of headroom for more power boost but I think a bigger flywheel is the only way to make that bigger step, like a lightweight flywheel but larger

Has Magnuson been vocal about revising the snout for smaller pulleys or is it conjecture at the moment?

They said they were going to discuss it, but they were not aware a 65mm pulley would fit so they might not now, have not heard any feedback yet

Sick, eagerly awaiting any updates y'all may come by. I'll place an order once my travel schedule chills out. The 65mm is likely to make 8psi at MSL?

At sea level 8 pounds with 65mm.
Stock boost at sea level is 4 pounds with stock 75 mm pulley
    At 6000 feet with 65mm I’m at 5 pounds.
Snpspeed will be selling the 65mm

Boost comes on almost right away much sooner than the old supercharger, I believe 2 degrees was added for timing with the 1320 new supercharger over my old supercharger and the old haltech tune.

This really should be enough for me, not trying to break things on my near 300K rig. The 8psi from this S/C should feel stronger than the 9.5psi I currently have.

Awesome. I have so much timing pulled on my current hella pingy 5vz's partial throttle-low RPM region, any ability to add some back in will hit the butt dyno for sure.

So I found out that my supercharger pulley was slipping (belt was to large for the 65mm) causing the rocky part of the dyno graph.
There is no 4 ribbed belt that’s the correct size needed so I found an 8 ribbed HD gates belt and cut it in half now having two belt.
Runs much better now and gained a little more boost
