It depends. What’s the preloading? Coil weight rating (stock, 600, 650 etc).

Wanted to post an update. So according to the service invoice the dealer replaced both front struts, bushings and coil springs. Also did an alignment after all the work was completed. Was all done under warranty. The ride seems better than new or maybe I just didn't notice how bad the ride had become. Squeak is gone also. They had the truck for a week as Toyota would only approve one component at a time I guess until the noticeable squeak was gone. Happy with the work and the dealer seems to have done the right thing in my situation.

I did it myself, I got to say that I love my truck, but I'm not happy with its ride even when it was brand new, it is a bumpy ride, the transmission (my opinion) drives me crazy, respect the ones that say it'snot that bad, but it is. In others words my truck is that old wife that we love but it's always complaining LOL.

Very happy with the work and the diligent dealership.
Dealer said they've already done a few warranty repairs like mine. Something about the bushings being done incorrectly at the factory causing an off center situation causing early spring and strut failure. Whatever.......I'm just happy it's riding beautifully now. Not bumpy at all anymore. As far as the transmission it's been an issue only once when I towed a utility trailer. After all the reading about it I expected it to be way worse. All around great truck if used as it is intended.

Funny you ask that. The front does feel higher. Don't know why they just replaced stock parts.

I did not like the nose up stance and look, so I had shop add 1 inch blocks in rear. For reference, I think I’m in the 3rd notch down from top on front because I can see 2 clip notches above spring holder.
