We’re out, wheeling Hawk Pride in Alabama in October so that’ll tie me down for a long weekend. Plus we’re moving the office/warehouse the first week of October so the month is pretty darn full.

I just realized that East Twin was already on my radar as a place to try fishing. I might have looked at it years ago when I went to Day Lake with my ex.

We'll need someone to grab spots, I checked and they don't take reservations at that site.

I saw that as well. I don't know how much traffic that place gets, but I was pretty optimistic that we would find some vacancy since we are going up on a Thursday. But, if anyone can get up there extra early and get set up, that would be excellent! Depending on how that week goes for me, I may drive up Wednesday late.

If anyone is on the fence about coming up, I could offer to make Kevin Bacon burgers again. Maybe even full sized ones!

    Just saying...

So, if you are cooking I will leave the kitchen home... I was going to make Taco tacos one night, but I don't need too. I am going stealth mode for breakfast so I have minimal clean up in the morning anyway. We can share duties depending on the crew size. If there is a big demand I can make Kung Pau and Pad Thai as well (I know there are venison egg rolls coming...) What says you? Imagine at least one night will be grilling meat?

Well, if there are only five coming we could split this up and feed the crew. I also don't care-feed myself or feed a crew doesn't matter. What says the collective? (I feel bad eating well when you guys are choking down freeze dried stuff...) I know Dan likes my cooking and appreciates not having too, and I like it as well. Need more voices here..

This weekend there were only two people camped there Sunday morning (around 9:00) when I came through... we shouldn't have an issue mid week like that. I can go up after work Wednesday and claim sites if it helps.

That's good to hear! I figured that district probably doesn't get a ton of traffic, based on the times I've gone to Day Lake flowage. I was looking at the sites on the water, and just hoping to get on one where I could throw the kayak in.

Ok, so I know that myself, @Pixeltim , @Taco-Grinder , and @pearing are camping. I'm not sure who the 5th camper is. It's entirely possible that whomever it was posted and I forgot. IIRC, @rockindoc75 seemed interested when we were talking about it at Tigerton

Also, I know that @RJW500 and his wife (maybe?) are meeting up Saturday for the fun run. And, @wi_taco is hoping to pop in at some point.

I see that some FB groups are having events the same weekend, so maybe some people are busy.

Speaking of FB events, there's a fall trail clean up day being organized as well. I'm thinking about going, but it might coinicide with a Halloween party I usually attend.

That looks interesting and normally I'd consider joining in but have that weekend earmarked for maybe my only attempt at hunting this year. Nothing written in stone yet though so I may join in if you do.

Been considering joining Tread Lightly for a while now because they seem to do good work. Never knew they give discounts at different tiers. Looks like $100 members get 20% off at Ironman 4x4 so anyone interested in their suspensions could probably grab this membership and save some coin. Other discounts too but mostly Jeep junk.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
It's probably a couple of pages back now, but I said I will be up sometime Thursday.

So... how does this sound for the food front: Thursday we do bacon burgers at the palace of Taco love. I will offer up a side dish or two, or whatever works with the burgermeister. Friday we'll have Taco tacos-the full meal deal with fresh (literally tomatoes and peppers grown in the Penokees) salsa, chips, queso, guac etc etc. Saturday we can all grill to our masculine hearts content. Breakfast across the board is on the individual to negotiate and prepare as is lunch. Dan, I can do the bagel thing if you want one morning but I am planning to eat light in the AM-let me know. What says the group.

It sounds good but for one detail... The Palace is leaving Madison after work on Thursday, so it will be showing up around 10pm at best. It might make for a very late dinner!

Easy, flip Thursday and Friday. Are you going up to Bayfield? Are you going on the winch run? because we could just grill the whole weekend and make it easy...
