I know you probably didn't make up this meme, but Complex Numbers would actually come after Calculus. Calculus is usually a pre-requisite for Complex Numbers, which is often taken at the same time as Advanced Calculus. At least that was the case when I got my Degree, back in the ancient days I had to take all the semesters of Calculus for my Engineering degree, but not Advanced Calc. I voluntarily took Complex Numbers, and it turned out to be a huge benefit in some of my Engineering classes. I actually loved that class, it was quite fascinating.

I was with Intel from 1992 - 2010, Folsom site. Engineering Computing part of IT. I'm guessing in AZ, you were more than likely on the Fab side of things? I visited the Chandler site a few times over the years.
