I was at Fab11 then Fab11x in Albuquerque. Spent most of my time as an equipment tech then went into an engineering tech role for the last 5 years.

Ok, I think I recall you mentioning that a year or so back. Somewhere in the early 2000's, something like 2005 I think, they closed one of the older Fab's in Rio Rancho. The Design Engineering top folks decided to repurpose it as the first "centralized" data center for all of the Engineering sites. One of my team mates, who wanted badly to get out of CA, got himself transferred there, to help get it setup. I never did know how that concept turned out. I got laid off when Intel decided to dump their Flash Memory group a few years later.

I was there 1995-2014. You’re talking about the old Fab9 building. That ended up being mostly a storage facility for all the shit that ‘somebody’ thought would be useful again some day. We ended up being assigned to clear said shit outta there with a telehandler and an F750 flatbed. Fucking sucked!!!
It was a good job for the first 15 years or so….
