Looks like you have a locking metal gun cabinet not a gun safe. They do a fairly good job protecting your guns from theft but no comparison to an actual gun safe. In addition gun safes have varying degrees of fire proofing. Gun cabinets are great I’m just pointing out they differ greatly from a gun safe.

Thanks for the correction. I'm not looking for theft or fire proof, just something to keep the guns from being casually accessed.

I have a light now for all my pistols. Except for my G43 I use it for carry during weddings and funerals. No light needed for that stuff

Had this stripped A2 receiver up for sale than I decided to keep it. Rear sight, port door and forward assist came in today. So, I ended up installing all the parts.

Don’t forget that 99% of the gun “safes” out there are only rated as residential security containers because they’re not secure enough to be classified as safes. Unless you’re spending $10k+ you’ve got a residential security container, not a safe.

And most with crappy drywall liners that contain things that don't necessarily play well with firearms.

If you have or choose to spend 10k on a safe more power to you. The rest of us do the best we can or prioritize funds in other ways. Either approach presents a barrier to thieves or people ie children you don’t want to have their hands on your stuff

I use a cabinet also, my reasoning is, just cause the safe is fire proof that wont keep the plastic from melting still.

Interesting that they specify HV on the caliber.

Manual is specific about running "standard" and "high velocity" ammo. I'll run a variety to see how it operates.

What’s the muzzle device? Can’t tell if that’s a suppressor or something else

Who the hell spends 10,000 on a gun safe??? My last safe I bought a couple years ago got around $1000 on sale. Gun cabinets are fine but no comparison to a safe. With some regular everyday tools I can open a locked metal gun cabinet in a minute or two. And the fire protection works. In addition I store jewelry , various expensive items, some electronics and important documents etc. in the safe. If you want to protect guns and things from theft and fire a safe wins hands down. Again a gun cabinet is fine depending on what you want it for but no comparison to a quality gun safe.
