Can a Gen 1 Owner please take some factory front bumper pictures for me please?

So I bumped into the rear of a Honda Civic. Messed up the the chrome piece of my front bumper. I bought a replacement chrome piece and it was put back on by a friends buddy who has a body shop. The bumper from what I can tell is sitting an inch or 2 to forward and needs to be up closer to the grill. Let me know if you agree from the pictures below.

Before I brought it back to him does someone mind taking some pictures of their factory front bumper that is on correctly? I will drive around looking for one if I have too, but if someone doesn't mind a few high quality pictures it would be very much appreciated.

Here are some shots of my fixed incorrectly bumper, If someone could mimic these shots that would be perfect:

 

closer to the grill as in up? or when your sitting your in truck, too far foward?

I think it is both. The Bumper needs to go up closer to the grill. The gap is a tad too big. If you look at the last picture, you can see that the bumper is too far away from me when I am sitting in the truck.

If you follow the fender well down from thr fender to the bumper you can see that is too forward.

Maybe I am being too picky?

 

the bumper kind of does stick out but that may be like that for a reason cause if you hit something lightly you only mess up your bumper and not your grill. i took my bumper off or i would look... but if you want go to him and ask if he can change it, dont say he did something wrong cause he might get offended

 

Thank a lot Taco and Scocar. I can tell from your side shots that mine needs to be pushed back a little. Maybe it does not to be pushed up toward the grill any.

I took my front bumper off a while ago to spray that piece with bedliner. If I remember right theres 2 bolts on each bracket in the center that are the main supports and 2 pieces with a rubber spacer thing on them towards the sides. I think theres some room for adjustment on the outside and possibly in the middle. crawl up under your truck and see if you can loosen the bolts and push it back an inch or 2. if that doesn't work it looks fine the way it is

 

Maybe, but if you look at the side pictures. The plastic fender well lining sticks out past the bumper now. I at least need it pushed back far enough to fix that.

 

Maybe. This should be something you can do on your own. FWIW, before I took my stock bumper off, the inner fender liner stuck out a little like that too. Bumper had never been off the truck ever. I think over time the plastic fender liners might shrink a little as they dry out. I have no way to confirm that but it's possible. I'm just saying that I've seen similar fender liners (my own included) that looked like that when I know the bumpers had never been off.

But seriously, it's only a few bolts. Just loosen them all a little bit and make the adjustments you want and tighten it back up. Shouldn't take you more than a few minutes.
