Buyers of non-enthusiast cash cars in my area have the mentality that if you work at a car dealership, you're a master mechanic, genius, rich, and also will give them a car for below wholesale -- with all the goodies thrown in that cost the (unrelated to your private car) dealership money. It's insane, and I know cars have gotten expensive, but I got out of flipping them & into bikes and electronics for the very hassle of entitled shitheads I had to deal with every single day just like you describe.

It's quite fair to say if you've sold at least 2 used cars of your own via private party, you may have a story to tell already.

The whole "as is" concept is extremely hard to grasp for most people.

Could write a whole book about nightmares from private car sales. I've had people try to trade me meth, weed, puppies, sex (from themselves, spouses, their children), glock switches, guns with no serial, entire boxes of stolen electronics, furniture, time share visits, literally just name it and I probably have experienced it. Selling cars in the inner city is ruff. Very thankful I'm in a rural area working in a different industry with a different side hustle now.

Crossing right over the river into Fallujah, even got a sign of it as we'd cross it every time we entered/left the city

Wow, been gone for a while.
Dealing with cancer and life. Just got a new eye, catarac replacement.
Anyhoo some clown just offered me $16k for my 98'. Had it for 20 years now. Of course I said take a hike.
I was going to go through it and replace needed stuff. 335k original miles. Had 36k when I bought it in 2000. $15,499.

1st, Suspension and put more road friendly tires back on. 15" rims original. Original Toyota bushings and all. Many sets of shocks. Rear springs have seen better days due to heavy loads.
Been using the F-150 for all the distance miles recently.
I was told the original parts from factory would be best, not really offroading and such anymore...lol 68 and all.
Wondering what would folks here do?
Found a custom place sort of in Alb. the other day looking for Ford part. Trucks Unique. Parts ordered and was thinking this could be a place to get work done. My repair days are behind me.
I want everything new, bushings,A arms, end joints, shocks or whatever it takes. Nothing is really wrong but the miles. And I live in the middle of no where NM.
    Thanks.
