Unfortunately, I am back again. My vacuum pump has begun to knock, but I was wondering if there was any harm in letting it just make its noise for a couple of months as I do not have enough time to drop it off for a day to get it replaced. Will this damage anything, or would it be fine to leave for the time being? Thanks!

My dealership was trying to get me to do the TSB for it when I went in to grab an oil filter last week. Is it not necessary?

They won't provide a loaner? Isn't this warranty work and safety related??

yeah mine has been knocking for a bit too. Friend the other day was asking about it as he was wondering about it being lifter knocking. I was going to take it in soon but i am not in warranty anymore.(50k miles) I wonder how bad they are going to fuck me to get it fixed.

Yeah, no loaner at the moment. Is it knocking any harm other than the noise? If so I'm holding off for a while.

Its hard for me to remember when it started. As far as i know it hasnt done anything or really gotten any worse. Only reason i started to think about it is my bro in law asked if i had a lifter/rod knock on the truck and so i started to wonder what that sound actually was and started doing research. I will keep you updated if anything happens with it but for now i dont really have the money for the repair so im also just riding it out. I think i just started to notice it more now that im not riding on e-load tires and sounds the sounds of the truck are more noticable.
