    All the lights...
OK. I was up at 430 this morning cooking eggs b/c I couldn't sleep. I hear a loud exhaust idle that sounds like it's in my driveway. I look out front door glass panes and see my neighbor's F150 parked directly in front of my house, just to the right of my front door blink camera's view. I see him walking from my driveway/mailbox area (white post left of me) back toward his truck (to the right off screen), walks past bed, opens back door, cab light comes on, I see him, he puts something in backseat and gets in truck front seat. I open door to say something and he quickly pulls away. He did not see me that I am aware...

I chalk it up to just being strange b/c he lives diagonally across the street from me, just one house over. Maybe he forgot to put trash out? I told the wife and let it go.

I did not drive the truck to work today, nor yesterday. However, I did decide to take it to pick up my child from after-school activity arounf 5pm tonight. As I get to the school, I have ZERO brake pedal. I limp home, check MC, look for leaks and don't see anything at first... then I see this (media).

Does that look natural? Truck hasn't seen a trail in at least 3 years.
He would have to have skirted every camera I have, but it's possible b/c I keep sensitivity turned down for passing cars, rabbits and coons, etc. Passenger front would have been completely in the blind if done correctly. Below is the only video I have... you can hear his exhaust as he pulls away as I stick my head out. He's perfectly out of field of view... his house is the 2 lights left of screen.

What say you? Too many coincidences? I'm interested most in your opinion on the damage to the brake line. Thanks, fellas.

    Looks more frayed than cut.

Dude is either a shinobi or knows where all your cameras are (unlikely).

I’d move the cameras and crank the sensitivity.

I guess you need to to check his truck to see if he put some Dykes in his back seat.

The only thing that would make that cut thru armor braided brake hoses would be diagonal cutters.

You got a history with this cat?

None. But he is a strange bird. He bought that house on auction when the owner died 3 years ago, fixed it up really nice. Young guy, late 20s or early 30s. Single, but mom is always around. He's never made effort to meet any of us neighbors, won't make eye contact or even wave back, just a weird dude. I have absolutely no beef with him and no idea why he'd have any with me. I mean we've not spoken a single word to each other.

Not that it matters, but I think his dad may have passed soon before he got here. He's got a Scag zero-turn that is way too big for his yard, a huge backpack leaf blower and only 1 small tree, massive tool chest in garage but never works on anything... I dunno, like he inherited all his tools or something.

Wife says jealousy. I think she flatters herself.

This is why I like multiple camera's; set up 4 within days of moving into our house.

This is why I like my google cameras so much. I pay $150 a year for cloud storage for “unlimited” cameras but it’s 24/7 footage for 10 days and 60 days of triggered events. You can also set custom zones to trigger on only what you want with enough tuning. Worth looking into if you’re wanting to beef up your cameras.

Also, that cut doesn’t happen naturally. If it was somehow fraying, it would more than likely eventually burst while driving from the increased pressure while braking, not sitting in the driveway.

Good neighbors (that become your friends) are helpful too.

Friend 3 houses down has a badass camera system that can zoom and see a license plate at the end of the block (towards my house) so he has a bird's eye view of everything.

Maybe another neighbor can help out?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I really don`t see a motive I could see if you were having a nice feud now going on for a few months .

Since it seems you have had no interaction at all. Rather then cut why not just unscrew the connection enough it would fail under application.

People are strange none of the new neighbors on a shared driveway have bothered to stop and say hello. Though they have both followed me to my shop When I brought the company truck home. Then just turned around and left.

do you park across the sidewalk?

the guy up the street is about to get a surprise series of flat tires... he keeps parking his 1 vehicle at the end of a long empty driveway directly across the sidewalk...

Driveway can fit 4 vehicles, we park close to garage... there is no sidewalk in this old neighborhood. We walk in the street like heathens.
