Going from the KM3's to the Kendas was a god send! Those BFG's were LOUD!

 

We had a saying when I was racing: turn 'em until they break, then back 'em off a quarter turn.

 

You tease! Nopey nope nope no! At least not until I do the SAS...

 

I delivered tires again today. Tires Plus. Only 23 today. About half were 17" to 20". Do you know how they come off the trailer upon delivery? One at a damned time! Rolled out the tail, usually from way up in the nose because the places I deliver tires to are on the south side of Oshkosh and my deliveries start on the north side.

My back really doesn't like unstacking and then rolling big assed truck tires out of my trailer...and that's what everyone seems to be ordering most lately. Week before last, (I was off last week, so I don't know if they got a delivery) WalMart got 86 tires, almost 1/3 were truck tires.

I am thankful that Discount Tire doesn't get their tires shipped through us, WalMart and Tires Plus are enough. Pomps at least has a dock and unloads with a forklift. Those tires are for Oshkosh Defense...military tires...about 4' diameter...about 175# apiece.

 

Do you think they would notice any tires missing?

I like to place an order.

 

Unfortunately, I have to enter a tally count to show the delivery complete...

 

Here's a good news post. After way too many hours researching, second-guessing myself, researching some more, third-guessing myself, and so on... I think I've finally arrived at a wheel and tire package that works for my truck, my budget and my sensibilities. (Sensibilities...? I'm in the wrong damn thread.)

Basically I've been able to save $100 here and $100 there by shopping around and I'll end up buying what I want from two different sites to save money. I'm going to give my buddy at Tires Plus a call tomorrow to inquire about mounting and balancing and such and then I'll be ready to click Submit on those orders.

Tell me I'm crazy, but I'm going with a 16" wheel and 285/75R16 (32.9") tires, both of Mickey Thompson flavor. 5 wheels and 5 tires and I've managed to keep the total under $3K. I'm pretty pumped about this because I'll be getting the wheels I've lusted after for a while and not the knockoffs I was considering, and I can't wait to try out the MT Baja Boss ATs. Giggety.
