Do you get a loaner?

My local dealer is jerking me around about a loaner whilst they fix my leaky timing chain cover. This is covered under powertrain warranty and a TSB.

Does your dealer provide you with a vehicle if warranty work requires more than one day in the shop?

 

Checkered Flag in Virginia Beach gives me a loaner for anything over one hour ...

My dealership up in Norcal always gave me a loaner. Longo gave Jen a loaner today cuz her driveshaft decided to run away while accelerating on the on-ramp

 

They will only give a loaner if it's a under warranty safety issue that they can not resolve in one business day. That is what I was told.

yes for any warranty work.....just tell them you want one....dont ask tell.....

 

when I had the rear spring TSB done (at another dealership), they told me "we'll have to give you a loaner because we need the truck for a whole day". I'd go back there for thisservice if they were closer. My local asshat dealer was trying to charge me a deductible on powertrain warranty.

oh dude is that what they mean by tightening the propeler shaft on the scheduled maintenance? I have never tighten my propeller shaft, hope that doesn't happen to me.

 

Service manager: "We are going to need the truck for two days..."

Me: "So you can hook me up with a loaner, right?"

Manager: "No."

Me: speechless

 

my dealer will give you a loaner if it's under warranty and cannot be resolve in one day. last time they gave me a Toyota Tundra as my loaner, awesome!

 

nah her U-joints went bad and she took it to the dealer a month ago, they've had her parts on back order since then and then BAM! the u-bolt blew up today when she accelerated

 

Is the loaner at the discretion of the dealer, or does corporate have a say, I wonder?

There's a dealer near me that's always given me a loaner.. I had a corolla for Like 3 days while they tried to diagnose my front diff

 

my 1 month old 2011 thats 3400 miles old has been making a horrible squeal behind the dashboard at 68-73mph.

I made a service appointment and told them that I'm a wireless technician who needs his vehicle 24/7 and that when I drop it off at 7am, I'll need a loaner. Im sure they will come through, I just hope there isn't any friction.

 

my dealership told me that they wouldnt give me a loaner, but my sales dude said he would take care of me. pretty shitty for the dealership not to give you a loaner, especially when you spend over $30,000 on a new truck.
