Ooh now that's interesting. A fun one to do is to fly in an area with a lot of small strips and mountains concentrated in a small region, lots of take offs and landings in small planes. There's a spot in Asia I found that was a lot of fun with friends once.

Also it's pretty fun to play with live players sometimes. Lots of folks seem to either be playing pretend commercial pilots of fighter jets. I've been intercepted a few times. Currently running no traffic since my Internet has been really slow the last week.

I also went to add trim and rudder to my controls only to find it was already assigned to the buttons I was going to use :anonymous:
It is this thread. But being 24 hours ago you gotta sift through 10 pages.

Roughly 4 years ago, when I bought my first Toyota truck. I didn't have any prejudice toward Jeep. I fell into Nissan ownership via cars that I bought for my kids. I had a good experience with a Nissan 280xz way back as a young guy fresh out of school and into my career job. I had paid more for that Z than any other car purchase. I had driven it 150,000 miles without issues. Outside of that, I had a string of Fords that were all good trucks. Nothing exciting, just dependable transportation. Years of riding trains and subways, when I worked in NYC, changed my perspective on car ownership. I kept my wife in a good car to drive with our kids. My buddies at work all drove "station cars" that were rusted-out beaters that you almost wished somebody would steal. I would walk from our house to the train stations, so I avoided that expense until we moved to Florida. Finally, I bought a $2,600 Olds Woodie Station wagon that turned out to be a decent vehicle. I should have kept it longer.

Looking back it's not the Jeep brand or Stellantis that I disliked was the overzealous Jeep Youtuber who was revving up his fan base by constantly finding a way to dis Toyota. I didn't see Toyota people doing that -- though I'm sure it happens. I think an overzealous YouTuber can do more to kill sales by causing resentment among the audience. Seriously, I had more distrust from the local Toyota dealer due to the fact I knew he was about fucking customers. Later he shot a guy in the showroom over a disagreement about past rent. Toyota pulled the franchise soon afterward. Their image started to improve with a new owner. My enjoyment with Toyota comes from how I like to work on them. JIS and standard metric sizes are shared with Nissan. I didn't need to think about what size socket to use for a given job. I was immediately familiar with the way Toyota did things so I started off in my comfort zone.

LOL.. I bought a used one to get the camera. I've not been happy with iCloud. Though map apps like Gaia and OnX do seem to work better.

Lady I sold the 4R to had the water pump explode on the highway and she couldn't get it to restart. I didn't think the ECU was that smart but some random guy told her that's what was happening so just wanted to make sure

    How would you know this?

I ask because when I get rid of a vehicle, I don't want to hear about it later. Another member was sharing a pretty gnarly story yesterday about a used private party sale.

    Interesting

On my 96 I can confirm the needle can be deep in the red and it will still start up again

He did after he messaged me asking if I knew anyone that wanted to buy it (many months after he's owned it)

    Weird guy for sure

Vibe I get is the type of dude that'll get tough behind a phone but won't ever fight you in person

don't get people that buy older, especially modified vehicles then complain about every little thing to the PO after purchase

speaking of private sales, someone on the 4runner page listed their 96 for sale yesterday in CA and said it was "as is, buyer responsible for smog" and got real defensive when I told him he was legally responsible for smogging it prior to sale.

"do you even know what AS IS means?"

oh of course, all I need to do in order to skirt the law is put "as is" before everything. Makes perfect sense. Good luck with that
