Im somewhat back at my own home. I hope to connect with you all soon. Im still taking care of mom but I am working some things out to reduce the stress. Im thinking it may be time to respray my frame with Woolswax. Anyone interested in getting together and doing a pressure wash of our frames then do the Woolswax when they dry? Im thinking an upcoming Saturday when it cools off a little bit.

 

Great hearing from you Mike and that things are smoothing out. I might be up for that, just depends on the weekend. Kid has a bunch of Saturday things coming up but it’s that time of year

 

I normally just spray over the old stuff. I've been going by that guy repair geeks youtube reviews of lanolin. Surface Shield has been very well for me.

The tire talk was a coincidence for me, as I was looking ( on line) at some Wildpeak Rubitrack tires, they seem to be a good choice for how my Taco gets used. It seems that the Wally World has the best prices and the only place that I called that could actually get the tires. The usual places like NTB/Mavis tires and Mr. Tire didn't even know about them. A Jeep shop in Westminster claimed that they could get them but they were about 50% more then Wally World.

I was looking at Accords and Camrys recently, with the idea of trading the Taco. Nothing has really changed at dealerships lately, they still want to give me less then wholesale trade in on the Taco and they have markups on everything new and used. F'em, I will just drive the truck for another year.

What makes you wanna get rid of the taco? Maybe I missed it in an earlier post, sorry lol.

 

Blasphemy!!

 

It's a decent truck, it's just too uncomfortable for me. The seats kill my lower back and my feet cramp with the weird angle that they are on. Anything longer then an hour in it and I'm ready to pull to the side of the road and light it on fire. It's also not the best commuter for me, I'm doing 90 miles a day round trip for work. I feel like I'm pissing money away in gas each week.

 

Well that sounds like a lot of good reasons to get rid of it haha
