New project

I’ve been so torn on buying full size truck or even a new suv. But I’ve been so missing my 1st gen sequoia. Decent pulling, great running 4.7v8, luxuries of the early 2000s

So my Tacoma went to a new home, small dealership in Columbiana. Owner may keep and drive but most likely, as everything, it’ll be sold for way more than they paid me. But cash in pocket and a reliable 1st gen sequoia in my driveway.

Now to make a list of what I want, starting with Dobinsons again of course!

Just sold my buddy's bike for him.....ended up with a free full exhaust

 

Ideally love a 22 Tundra but you can get a Rebel for about 15k cheaper and similar specs. Need a tow vehicle. Id still keep the TACO and Corolla most likely.

 

It’s a 2003 Sequoia Limited 4x4

Tow hitch cap has never been removed. Had the plastic insert from factory. Also the outlet plug still had the 2003 foam insert

Front leather seats have some wear and tear, rear seats are practically new and 3rd doesn’t look to have ever been used.

General maintenance should be done, front and rear diff service and timing belt/water pump. But I’ll look into that before major upgrades.

 

For something that will be just a tow rig, I'd go cheap as I could and still get what I needed/wanted

I want a newish full size truck though. Even if i didn't drive everyday lol. It will come down to my raise at end of year. Im hoping for 20% raise. My boss has hinted at a big one so im hoping lol.

 

I was agreeing with the Rebel over the Tundra. It's cheaper, yet still does everything you want/need from a tow rig. Personally, I'd look at a tow rig as just that....go cheap as you can to still get what you want/need.

I think I test drove every full size truck and the Ram trx was my favorite by 100x but that 100k+ price tag was a no from me.

I am STILL fighting workman’s comp from my injury September 28th 2021. I’ve been medically released since May 5th and they refuse to settle. I couldn’t pass the vocational exam to return to work and legally I can’t take another job as I have to (again legally) tell any new employer of the impairment. Mainly to cover my ass - if I don’t and I get hurt again they could fire me and WC laws won’t cover me.

So I needed a change but didn’t want to take on a note.

12k to spend on modifications lol maybe spend half and save rest for ga$
