Sure, it's just plywood and styrofoam props. But in the instant that you looked at the picture, for a split second, you actually squinted because you felt their pain. And you -believed- that the other starship had their high beams on. :D

I commute 1hr home from work with the sun at my back. Brake lights light up pretty good too. Haven't been rear-ended yet. Knock on wood..

Did you have any issues with the application, like creases or bubbles or even alignment? Getting ready to do mine and am curious of any obstacles I may be facing.

I agree, Thanks. The Alcoa, TN. DT is a top notch outfit. Will be back in the spring for summer tires on my stock wheels. Or new wheels and different tires, and save the MT's for the next winter.

None what so ever. Measured twice applied once, made sure it was where I wanted and then I couldn't find my plastic piece to go over the decal so I broke an old plastic spatula and used the head to make sure there were no bubbles or creases.

I just went with the Rough Country intake. It's only $150 and it was noticeably more vocal when accelerating, and it seems to have a slightly better response? (that could be placebo effect because it sounds like it). Any increase in HP would be negligible, but the air flow has definitely improved.

Bed lights installed with an oem cargo switch. You might say big deal. But I have an SR5 access cab circa 2019. Access cabs have no third brake light cargo lamp, no oem switch and no relay for said switch.
Thankfully with the help of a few here on this forum I was able to get everything working and a few YouTube vids didn’t hurt.

I used the "wet method" when I applied mine. I know some people have been able to apply theirs dry but I've found applying decals wet is much forgiving, in that it allows for minor movement of the decal before "setting" it in place.

Nice! I've been looking at doing the hideaway in the same spot. How does it sound?

So, somewhere along the line I got a scratch on my mirror heater switch….
    IMG_6667.jpg
    …somewhere.
Anyway, I had a scratch on the climate dial indicator from before (and you can’t by that little translucent piece of plastic), so I hopped on eBay and found a used climate switch, figuring I’d pop the cover off the mirror switch and the other piece and just swap them. Anyway, I found one with a PTS button (which my SR doesn’t have) for a good price. Then I started thinking (and that is where I start doing things I probably shouldn’t). Anyway, here we are a week later with my new voltmeter.

I think I got the dial in a flicker, all the lights are working.

It sounds... okay. Not great, not terrible.

It was better under the seat of my '17 access cab, but it works well enough behind the rear seat to suit me. I did have to increase the bass boost a fair amount. I suspect adding some sound deadening material in the cubby might help. I've had dual 10" subs and a 12" Bazooka Tube in other vehicles before, but my days of vibrating mirrors and rattling license plates are in the past. Nowadays I just want my music to have a more "full" sound, and the Hideaway (along with DS18 tweeters) helps with that goal even if it's not quite as potent in the back.

It was just sitting around collecting dust anyway, so I'm not out anything except a little bit of time to do the install.

But you have to agree the cover on the TRD intake is pretty cool looking. I've said this elsewhere: the TRD air intake is like French Lingerie...very expensive and not everyone gets to see it, but those who do get a glance appreciate it. Oh, and it adds 5 hp...for sure.
