Did I read that right at 16"? I thought 3rd gens were on 17". I love having a decision made; but... from experience, 17" has more options and if you don't have 17's they allow you to do the brake upgrade when the time comes. For what its worth-my advice-don't go with 16's (you'll regret it later.) I hate doing this-sorry. Like the wheel choice!

Sports are on 17s. Limited on 18. All others are 16
(Pro might be 17 too .... lol)

I hear ya, but I have my reasons. 16s with 33s means more rubber. Also, going with 16s saves a lot of money. There are plenty of tire options if I'm not going bigger than 33s, and I'm not sure I'd ever do brake upgrades.

Fair-I just wanted you to know. I made the mistake (thinking I would never want more than 33's...)

    33's

35's might of helped that day your truck was doing a balancing act on the sliders.:D

Run your Firestones 'til the cords show first. Yeah, I am impressed with them.

To be honest I never had an issue, but the wife doesn't seem to like the buying new rims every time the truck needs rubber... I am good to 40's now I think...

Well, I done went and did it. Wheels with mounted tires have been ordered. I ended up calling Summit Racing with some questions and the customer service was fantastic. They only had 2 of the wheels in stock but should get the additional back ordered 3 I needed soon directly from Mickey Thompson. Mounting and balancing and shipping are all free. Valve stems and TPMS were reasonable. I should have them in a couple weeks!

Question, because I've always got tires directly in a local shop... will I need to go to a shop or dealership to get the TPMS sensors programmed? I'll admit I'm dumb about how that works.

I'm jealous that we can't have 16's on the 4Runner. I would prefer 15's for an off-road setup.

I had 35x12.5 r15's on my Ranger... that was a lot of tire.

If my new shoes arrive before then I don't see how I could not get up there. Truck would be pouting and whining in the driveway, begging to go. It's all up to Summit Racing now.
