I took it to a shop to have someone show me how to get it out and the guy at the shop couldn't get it.

I'm using pliers and knives trying to get it out.
Any other suggestions? The metal part doesn't come off or this would be much easier.

All the line is up in the area I circled in red.

Actually, wouldn’t a spinning reel be better for her? You can sling dafuq outta it, if anything phks up, it’s right there to see, and it’s just easier if ya ask me.

 

Stick a knife in there and start digging. Make sure the button is pushed so it will peel out when you grab a wad of eet.
