Evening folks. Skating was a blast. Hydrating now and looking for pain killers.
Some morphine would be good. LMAO

Not being wise, do you use it enough to break it?..
Or, does shit just go bad?..

You think the morphine would help more if you took it before you skated?

1972 boat always needs a little something. The wire that raises the swing keel broke. The bottom needs to be scraped of growth and inspected if the bottom paint needs to be reapplied. There’s some updates that I’d like to do like adding duplicate mast stays, etc… always something…

    Story time…
Asked to meet with my boss and one of the shop supervisors. Got new guys running equipment and they’ve been making mistakes that are costing us. Wanted to make sure that they were aware and covered the issues with the new guys.

so pointed out the mistakes, totally preventable if the guys do what they’re supposed to do.
Shop guy gets snarky comes up with a bunch of half assed excuses why it’s too hard to do it.
I pointed out that it wasn’t a problem for two other guys who used to do the job. So of course the boss backs him up. and then shop guy tells me that he’ll guarantee that never happens again if I guarantee that I never make a particular mistake ever again.
Told him i can’t do that because I’m not the only one who does things in the drawings (remember yesterday I said my boss likes to “help” and just makes a mess of things? That comes into play here in a sec).
Shop guy still snarky says well it just happened again today and goes off about this particular project.
So I replied that yeah, that project is definitely wrong and I have no idea why it was gone that way.
Shop guy still going on and on.
Like I said I have no idea why it was done that way BECAUSE MORON DID THIS WHILE I WAS ON VACATION!!!! So, moron, would you like to explain to shop guy why you made these mistakes???
Shop guy immediately starts sputtering, trying to backpedal realizing he just stuck his foot in his mouth.
Boss jumps in about not needing to point fingers about anything.
Funny how he stayed silent while they both thought I was at fault and was only concerned about directing blame when HE was put in the hot seat.

so anywho I was trying to contain my laughter while they hastily made excuses for needing to cut the meeting short.
