wiring amp

I know this might belong in audio but i also know it may differ from the older model tacomas, on the power wire, where will that go to?..... i heard that if I wire it to the battery it will drain my battery unless I have an on/off switch for it, is that true?

 

power wire to the battery, remote wire is what tells the amp to turn off / on

remote wire should go from the amp to the back of your head unit

 

good deal, btw, where is this hole in the fire wall of our tacos? i gotta hook up some offroad lights while i am doing all this, i will run it through this firewall hole correct?

 

Just to the left of the steering column (when looking inside the cab).

 

u can run it thru there. It is behind the steering wheel, a tiny to the left in the middle. you'll see it theres a big bundle going thru there - its real easy to spot from the engine compartment as well.

ya i'd just sit back there with me legs stretched out if i wanted to..... turn two screws loose and i could remove the box too
