    Good morning guys.

Today I received my Tundra brake upgrade kit 13WL 231mm size...

I've been eyeing these 16 inch Nomad Covoy rims with a -10 offset.

My question is does anyone know if these rims are compatible with the Tundra brake upgrade kit?

On the side question. Does anyone know of a brand that makes this kind of "steelie" look rims in aluminum? So far Nomad is the one that looks the closest to a "steelie"

I don't have an answer for you, but I do maintain this list of wheels that are known to fit:

    https://adventuretaco.com/which-wheels-fit-the-tundra-brake-upgrade-on-a-tacoma/

At the bottom of the page are PDF templates (courtesy of @mechanicjon) that you can print to test fitment. Of course, that requires having a wheel to test with.

Finally, if you haven't seen it already, this page has a great step-by-step guide (with pics) on the upgrade, as well as links to all the parts needed (at varying price points). OEM is best for the pads, but for the calipers you shouldn't pay the premium. Get them from your local parts store (ideally) or Amazon, which will give a lifetime warranty in case you ever need to replace them. And a shameless plug - don't forget the upgraded lines, they make a big difference with the 13WL calipers.

It seems like they should fit no problem. Those 13WL calipers are like the same ones on the FJ / 4Runner / newer Tacomas and those run 319mm rotors stock and fit 16" rims all day long. So if Nomad says theyve put the 16s on any newer Toyota then seems like a solid yes.

    Hey Turbodb!

Thank you for the info. I downloaded both templates and yes they would fit. I also found similar looking rims like the Nomads but they had structural damage.

But after awhile of scrolling through your website I ended up liking the 3G 4runner rims you have.

They keep that classic look to the Tacoma! I want to paint mines black or maybe the same bronze as yours. I don't know how well bronze would look with my silver Tacoma. How has the paint job held up on your rims?

Anyways thank you so much for your comment and also for your adventuretaco site. Very informative site. I will be purchasing the Tundra brake line kit.

Bummer about the wheels, but I'll add them to the list as fitting, thanks for that!

My paint job has held up great, though it was a lot of work since I sandblasted down to raw aluminum during the prep stage. Not sure how well they would have held up otherwise. I do love the wheels, that 5-spoke pattern really is a good one IMO. The one thing to be aware of with them is that they are 7" wide, so you need to run a relatively narrow tire. I'm running 33s (255/85R16) that are about 10.2" wide, which is about as wide as you want to go (and for me, I like skinny tires anyway).

When you pick up the brake line kit, don't forget to use the FREESHIP code to get free shipping!

Yeah I like your tire set up. I don't like wide tires either. I don't really have no big use for something too wide.

Besides that I think 1st gen Tacoma's like nicer with tires like yours.
