Drove through Malibu yesterday. The views put the Northeast to shame

 

Medford, so not too bad. Luckily it was early enough before the stadium traffic and then I was headed back while the Eagles game was going on and 295 wasn’t bad.

 

Medford isn’t bad.

NJ gets a bad rap - deservedly so, but unless you have called the state home, your rights to bash on it are minimal!

she might like the unibody more than body on frame along with some of the other tech things. That and they don’t have 3-5K market adjustments like the Grand Highlander

Yeah… she has a 2015 Rogue right now and we’ve had no issues with it. Only 55k miles on it

 

It's that time of the year. I spent this afternoon helping a buddy split & stack some firewood.

Oh man I don’t usually say much but please stick with Toyota or Honda. My wife had a 2016 Pathfinder for about a year. While it was a nice ride the transmission drove me crazy. Had a few recalls. NBD just inconvenienced. You can’t beat Toyota or Honda for reliability. Just my 2 cents

 

Thanks for the advice. Good to know. I think I read the transmission was changed from the CVT but I’ll have to double check that or maybe changed to it… I’m reading up on it, just to check everything I can.

 

Hopefully they still aren't using the renault CVT's, those things have a horrible track record.

Good afternoon everyone. I finally got my lazy ass on my Mt bike after work. I stopped at the Heritage trail in Glenrock and went north 5.5 miles to Seven Valleys then turned around around and came back. Perfect weather for a ride, no to nurse the lower back and butt pain. Tomorrow looks like a work day on the deck, stair stringers will get cut and installed and maybe some hand railing posts. I still can't decide if I want to do the "party" rail on top of the posts.

I'm pretty sure that I'm doing something like this for the deck railings. I can pretend that I'm in Colorado!

 

Found this “the old CVT has been dumped in favour of a far more refined nine-speed torque-converter automatic transmission”

 

They seem to have had a little effect, but nothing I’m excited about. Still get the burn through my entire leg, foot goes numb and hip feels like it’ll pop outa socket at any moment… not going to hold my breath waiting for the next round of shots to work either. But doc says I have to go through the motions of trying first. But I’ve had a few good days since too… feel like I’m ready to get back at it. Sleep wrong and I’m a gimp all over again. It’s a vicious cycle!

 

Yep, the motions suck when there's no relief.
