I'm helping my kid spec and order/locate a TRD Offroad.

I've seen the LED megathread and the comparison thread where many folks mention a $485 option for LED headlights, but I am not seeing this option on the Toyota site today.

Can anyone confirm... Is the (non-package) LED headlight option gone in 2023? If it is till available, is there a code for it I can reference?

Is the "Tech Package with Options" at $1255 the cheapest way to get full LED headlights today?

    Thanks
    Dan

Minimal (least expensive) LED options for an OR. The stand-alone LED option may not be applicable in all regions. Do a 500 mile inventory search on the Toyota site and filter on an OR and LED headlights

Thanks Manny - for some reason I cannot see that option. (my zip is 94121)

Is that under Accessories -> Exterior? (it doesn't show here)

Find out where you can get that as an option, and fly there. It'll still be cheaper and you can have a fun first trip in your new ride. That is, unless you want the additionally bundled options associated with the LED headlights. I could get them when I selected options for my 2022 here in Washington state. I would recommend them though. They are nice and bright.

I just tried with an Incognito browser window and an Austin TX zip code (73301) but I still don't see that today under accessories. Under "options" the cheapest is still the tech package.

OK update! When I select the short-bed option, I can see the LED lights package.

My kid needs the 6-foot bed though - and when you select the 6 foot bed, you lose the LED option. (!?)

(this is just in the website builder, so it may be a website thing not a real issue)

Toyota doesn't "build your truck" like Ford does (I think Ford does it). Ford you can build it a la carte and you'll get a build date. Toyota has every single truck already planned. When you put in your config, they just match it to one already in the plans. Your build date could be 2 weeks, or 5 months away, but it's already set before you even enter the picture.

They have decided not to do LED lights on long beds. Why? Haven't a clue, but because of that, you can't build it.

Grayed out means that an option is not in the available inventory for the model or color selected. 6 ft bed OR is hard to find in any option combination.

There are only six long beds OR’s in Texas. Change the search zip to a different state (ex. 77001 - TX) in order to see if a vehicle you desire is in another state.

OK so Toyota is not offering/building the long bed OR with the cheaper LED package. To get LED on the long bed OR you must eat the Tech Package.

Thanks everyone for the help, appreciated. I guess I will put this down as a website quirk, because the Utah and Klamath Falls trucks linked above look to have been built with LED but not the tech package.

I was in a similar boat. I wanted the LED lights and blind spot monitoring, but not much else. As soon as the chose those options, the website would prompt me to change my color selection to the magnetic grey or electric green. Or I would have to get the $5k package.

I think because this generation is winding down your chances to get exactly trim and options you want are limited.

I ended up going without the LED option and will probably add it on afterwards.

Last year I was able to get a DCLB with LED only option. With 3rd Gen production on its last legs, it is understandable if some configurations are no longer permissible/available.
