WeatherTech bug/rock shield on the hood and a set of side window vents. Hood shield was easy, as were the vent shields on the front windows. The onse on the back windows were significantly less fun, and I'm still not confident they are right - they involve two small metal clips that go into the weather stripping. These clips do not like being there, nor do they want to stay on during the install. Took a bit of jostling. Going to play with them a bit this weekend and make sure we are good. Look great tho...

Enlighten me on your tow hooks, I'm new and just getting started on my mods, but haven't researched them yet.

4 years old and still nicer than when I brought it home. Washed, Clayed, washed, touch up on some polish, then glazed, and waxed for winter Collinite 9 something paste wax/sealer.
Scored a set of Tacoma step rails off a 23 yesterday with 23 miles on them, got them mounted up.

These are the 2-3” lift version. I have the Icon RXT set to option 3 so its about 2.5” higher then stock Tacoma. I have about 2” of rake, gonna try to lift the front up a bit more and get it to 1” rake. I haven’t touched the front height settings yet.

Just curious, why did you buy new fox suspension when your brand new trd pro came with it?

    I went 2.5 front 1.5 rear.
    leaving 1/2" rake.
I haven't adjusted the lights at all but I also haven't been getting anyone flashing their brights at me so 1/2 rake must be enough.

Been considering trading in the gf’s Kia Forte for a Corolla or a Corolla Cross. They drive super nice and of course are bulletproof. What’s up with your rear axle?

Finally removed my steps, took only a few minutes and it not only cleans it up but makes it much easier to get in and out for me. Was considering dropping the air dam, but it’ll stay for the time being because I’m only doing street driving right now and I’ll keep the extra mpg’s until I eventually decide to add a locker and skid plates.

Uh oh! Someone just touched a live wire :)

Get ready for a lot of enlightenment.
After reading a lot of threads on the topic (search all you want and make your own choice), I'll do my best at a short summary: Fine as a tow hook, not a recovery point. Know how you will use your truck and the level of equipment you need.

Would be a great idea if she didn’t dislike hatchbacks!

Lurked for a long time, finally made an account and here is my 2021 MGM OR. Just got the new lift and tires on. Went with bilstein 6112/5160 combo and SCS wheels. So stoked with how it turned out

My wife has the 2017 iM. It is fine to drive especially in sport mode using the manual mode.

I’m stuck with my steps. I’d like to take them off, but my wife always uses them and says no way. :(

I only took them off because they went out a bit too far for me to swing my legs past them and my gf doesn’t need them. If you wanted to get fancy, I’m sure you could modify and add some automatic steps to have the function and improve the form.
