Nope, just a little humor. He knows the third gen is slow as shit. He also just got rid of a second gen that was faster than his third gen. So speed isn't what this guy's going for. lol

Hello dudes. Im replacing my totaled 2011OR. I found a nice 2017 with 52k mi in my budget and noticed it has Kings. They dont look like theyve been abused, but its hard to tell as truck is in CA and cant look directly.

Is it not advisable since i dont know how many miles are on them? Thanks dudes

I wouldn't not buy it because of the kings...they can be rebuilt if needed

Kings are a fully rebuildable. If you do it yourself the cost is less then $150 bucks for all 4 shocks and that includes the oil. If you source it out you'd be looking maybe $600-$800 for 4 shocks. If anything Kings are a positive not a negative when it comes to buying a truck.

It's super easy to DIY. The hardest part is finding someone to nitro charge them if you don't have a bottle. Which most people don't. lol

That said I get why people send them out. Time can be way more valuable then the 1/2 day it takes to rebuild them.

Anyone know of a shop that's open during the weekend that can build a pair of CV axles? I got dirtking extended shafts and need them "complete" with the OEM inner and outers which I have

I had my fronts tuned, resprung and rebuilt for $600. The correct tuning changed the truck from good to great. I would highly recommend it done if they haven't been.

I should probably do this next year if I don't commit to a LT setup. Where did you send them for the rebuild?

I followed the recommendation of @RelentlessFab and took them to Phil at Liberty Mountain Fab in Gardnerville. He knows his stuff.

Driveline and Gear on Glendale. They've done a few drivelines for me and they do them well. Reasonably priced too.

That road is calling my name. It's been too long since I've been on dirt.
