Been thinking about doing a similar set up on my 99. How bad did it impact your MPG. My truck is used a a commuter 80miles per day. Don't wanna sacrifice MPG too much.

Gonna be completely real with you, I have no clue. I’ve only been driving my tacoma maybe once or twice a week, so I don’t have a great grasp on my fuel consumption. I’ve noticed it goes down a little quicker than it did before, but I haven’t actually tested it so it could be a minute difference.

My 08 4cyl auto. Bought in December of 22 with 89k on the clock.
So far it's got a 3 inch lift, aal in the rear, rough country shocks.
The ebay snorkel and headlights with blue led bulbs.
    Amazon amber fog lights.
Cherry bomb glass pack dumped at the axle.
33x12.50r15 Cooper evolution mts on pro comp 15x10 5x5.5 steelies. 1.25" wheel adapters.
1.5 inches trimmed from front fenders and bumper, pinch weld flattened.
JVC head unit and skar audio door speakers + 10 inch sub and amp behind the seat.
    Amazon cheapo ladder rack.
Brand new rear window because I smashed the original out installed the rack.

I also scored a factory 4.30 third member from an SR5 prerunner at the local Pick n pull for 130 bucks. Not installed yet. Yes the truck is pretty sluggish with 33s and stock gearing but I'm on the flat Carolina coast so it's not too bad.

Thanks! I do appreciate the kind remarks. Here's a link to a YouTube video on installing bucket seats...they guy truly inspired me. I think he used Subaru Forrester seats....I came across Scion TC at the local salvage yard (found out later that Toyota owns Scion). Anyways....all I did was bend down the front outside rail flange and had to drill a couple of new holes in the floor pan and bolted with a Grade 8 bolt and nut. Couple of hours work for both...pretty straight forward....just watch drilling on the driver's side....a few hydraulic and electrical lines near the floor pans....recommend doing a small pilot hole first to check clearances. Also, when the buckets are installed....they'll be a gap for a center console/armrest....the absolute best is one out of a Nissan Sentra 2010-2013....they fit like a glove all the way to the gear shifter. Here's that link..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWh_W7C6KkQ. Hope this helps.

Built myself a winch mount. Harbor freight winch plate welded every which way to a piece of 8 inch 3/16 C channel. Only the fairlead sticks past the bumper cover.
9k badlands winch. Not yet wired. I've got a bunch of wiring to do and want to get it done all at once.

Also, Amazon ditch light brackets with the absolute cheapest flood lights I could find.

New member alert. Dedicated lurker. This truck has got my mind wandering all day :D. What to do What to do?? Unfortunately I had to put 4 brand new tires on this thing after 3 blowouts (most in pretty convenient locations). It doesn't necessarily delay the lift kit plans, but it sure is annoying dropping $400 on something I plan to replace next month:anonymous:. Planning a sleeper city truck with some utility mods. Eventually 4x4 swap.... but words are wind.

Obligatory new member 5Lugfury what should I do!?!? Lol jk... kinda

You monster... Best 5-lug out there right now. There's that one guy with forced induction too, and he might be fast, but you can go anywhere

What transfer case did you pair with that v8 again?

Here’s my new rig! Stoked to finally get my hands on a 5lug reg cab! 82k miles, everything is in great shape. Some rust issues to address underneath as it’s a Northeast truck.
