Maybe you could tell us some details...

Like what kind of place are you looking for? Do you want mountains or desert? Red rock or aspens? Fishing, hiking, skiing, shopping? Looking to remodel something cheap? Or buy a big, expensive, turn key house? (I know about a beautiful place in Torrey on thirty acres for 1.6M)

And what about the personal side? Married? Mormon? Hobbies, skills, education?

I've spent a fair amount of time in that area. East Carbon is pretty isolated from the rest of the Price/Wellington area. But it is a nice community for the most part. We lost or dog there last year, and everyone we spoke with was very kind and helpful.

So... apparently racoons like to go into open chimneys in salt lake...played a loud bit of YouTube for several hours and it seems like they left for now. I put some plywood and heavy weights to prevent them from going back in. We'll see if that worked well enough.

I’m medically retired but willing to tele-work and she’s still actively working to buff her ssa points. Have a boy entering high school next year that’s smarter than both of us so I definitely want a good school district to keep him moving forward. He wrestles, runs track, and is active in scouts.

Im selling a 1300 sqf 3 bed -3 bath brick home with a detached 1800 sqf shop with heated floors that sits on 8 acres with a half acre pond that’s remote but “conveniently” located about 35-40 minutes from St. Louis and 10 minutes from four small farming communities and an Air Force Base depending on which direction I travel. I know that it will be difficult to replicate this situation elsewhere so I’m willing to make concessions. I don’t want to live in the suburbs but I don’t want a trip to the city for medical follow ups to be an all day event either.

Shopping is definitely not a concern other than a local market for groceries. 1.6 million is out of my league. I’ve done the 3500 sqf home before and will never again and am actually looking for someone between 1000 - 1200 with a detached shop or at least enough property to build one later as I’ll always have a 4wd toy and would like to be able to keep it stored inside. Not afraid to buy land to build on and wouldn’t shy away from remodeling the right house. The water table here has allot of pesticides and other chemicals from the seed farmers but is still “legally” safe but is mildly part of the Ohio and Mississippi River watershed so locals are expecting that to get worse in the next few years do to the spills in Ohio and the Missouri River recently.

Really want to get far away from the climate I’m in now as my property taxes have gone up almost 60% in the past four years and as you can imagine, everything else is keeping pace which is destroying income and savings. I’m not too terribly demanding but just don’t want to find myself in an environment where I’m mentally back on the outpost worried about threats.

If you buy the oil from them, I bet an O'reilly's, etc would let you do it in their parking lot.

If anyone is looking for a camping stove, probably a little big for a dedicated overland stove, I have a new camp chef two burner stove. Brand new still in the box I decided to go with something a little smaller. It is the Pro 60x model which they are now calling the pro 14. It has the attached foldable legs and side tables. They sell for $300 I'm looking to get $200

question for y'all. girlfriend's 4runner is showing a consisten 10% discrepancy in speed and odo reading. a 100 mi drive clocked in at 110. is this an ECU/diff gearing thing we need to change?

also, any leads on a good shop to fix a clock spring on a 2013 4runner? or even where to get one for a decent price? her horn just went out. fuse is fine. so i suspect clock spring. (for a brief moment in time, it was working when you had the wheel turned but when it was straight dead center, the horn wouldn't trigger). I'll try pulling the horns themselves and see if they're working fine but i won't be able to get to it till later.

Clock spring might be a recall, it was for my 09 tacoma. Is the SRS dash light on? Mine did that on top of the horns not working

Doesn't cruise control go INOP when the clock spring fails? Might be an easy way to check.

no lights on dash. literally just horn not working. the horn switch coudl also be going bad in the wheel itself given that I think previous owner had spilled something on the wheel at some point (the volume buttons are sticking).

cruise control works fine. i mean, it could go inop when clock spring fails but so could volume controls and other steering wheel controls. But those all work fine. :/

Do you have to "pull the horns"??? I'd just run a hot lead from the battery to test them.

Yeah. $25 dollar yearly donation to the historical society in addition to normal registration fees and it can be yours. Put one on my wife's Tahoe. They are popular, so you will have to wait 6-8 weeks to actually get the new plate.

You could put put a speedo calibrator in it. That's what I did to my Taco. I used this...corrects error in speedo and odometer for regear or oversized tires.
