Theirs always allocation then a build date. Sometimes they gave a range of an arrival at the dealership but cant blame the port and shipping process as well that makes it lag more.

Ordered my Tacoma 4/13/2023, Manufactured on 6/9, shipped on 6/9, arrived at Port New Jersey on 7/9. My dealer said delivery should be sometime in July. Been following Delivery date since 8/16. Every 3 or 4 days the delivery date changes by 3 or 4 days. Now 9/19-9/26. Dealer can't tell me anything different. Very frustrating. I guess they really don't know!

The supply chain instability seems to still be affecting a lot of deliveries. Vehicles still requiring final parts are shipped to the ports where they sit until the parts catch up and are installed. As noted here, sometimes they sit for months and the dealers have no way to determine when final assembly will take place.

All the little easy stuff. Locking console box, led interior lights, bed lights, gas cap holder, wide angle split mirrors, sequential mirror lights,
I am not sure about on the East coast, but over here on the North West coast they can sit for months in the port until the longshoremen decide to allow them out of the port. The work slowdown has been going on for years. It is common you can sit outside the gate and see your vehicle sitting there. There is always a group of off duty longshoremen sitting outside the gate. For a fee they will go in, off duty, and bring it outside the gate, in about an hour. You can often get your load a month or two faster that way. I had a Chevy that, after final completion, took over 5 months the get delivered. About 3 months sitting back East, almost 2 sitting in port once it was delivered to the northwest. And yes, it took GM about 6 months to build it also.
