Its okay with oil as long as you fill the hole with rocks first.

Wife's been complaining about stuttering while accelerating, has no idea when spark plugs were done if ever (and at 180k right now :bananadead:) so I order them up. Spent some time looking up how to swap em and figured it'd be pretty similar to mine since they're both 2gr's and found out how wrong I was after a couple videos lol. But whatever, I wasn't about to yank out half the engine bay to do this so scraped knuckles it is! Pop the hood and there's a rats nest on the engine cover (@CTSpruceMica), and beyond that I'm an idiot and she has the 4 banger...whoops. Hit the abort button on swapping the plugs since the ones I have are seemingly wrong and I didn't feel like gambling on it, but I wanted to get eyes on the current ones at least, snapped a coil pack bolt trying to pull the first one :anonymous: Thankfully I was able to grab what was left in the thread with vice grips but I decide to just run to Ira and grab everything I need to bang this out. Thankfully the plugs on the 4 are all right there and I was done in like 20 minutes but jeez what a day. Damn mice started to get into one of the harnesses and chewed through a chassis ground too, bandaid'd the harness and repaired the ground and hopefully nothing comes of it.

Grab a spray can of fluid film or woolwax and I don't think you'll have anymore issues with rodents

Rodents suck I used too work for a john deere dealer in RI and tractors have more problems with mice since it's the best home for their families after mowing most people drive the tractor straight in the shed and shut it off the mice love this, the deck is full with fresh cut grass the engine warm and lets not forget soy based insulation on the wiring! long story short i met a guy that has been fighting them off by putting a baking sheet with a old dish towel and ammonia. he soaks the towel with ammonia and puts that in the baking sheet and sides it under the tractor so that the fumes overpower the engine he has never had any problems since the first mouse issue. he had to do the same thing with his wife car so he did the same idea but he dung a shallow hole for the pan and lightly covered it with river rock so it looks normal and she just parks over that no more issues. i've also seen mothballs used in the air box just make sure they are on the side away from the intake, they make mothballs that come in a perforated bag. hope these idea help

Auto Zone will take motor oil whether or not you bought it from them. The one Stoughton does it pretty cheerfully. Really, the offer to push the cart out to your vehicle and help you load it. They won't take anti freeze, though.

    Me want details :)

Ps anyone ride road bikes and want a free.50 set of 700x28 takeoffs? Went down to 25s and these have about 1k on them. Giant stock rubber but has done me well. Just a PITA to drop the front wheel with 28s.

Got an oil change and trans dump/fill at boch south today then came home made breakfast for the family and excused myself to work on the bumper.

Debate topic. I need to epoxy the fog light housing parts on. Should I do this before anymore paint (primer only) or after all paint is complete.

I don’t know what part you’re talking about specifically, but I am a fan of making repairs first, then painting.

I would epoxy first, to bare metal if possible. That way if the paint were to peel it won’t let go the housing

Epoxy didn't go exactly as I'd hoped. Was hoping itd sit more flush but ended up just filling with more epoxy. Good news is the little epoxy I did before fill was already enough to lift the wing up just holding plastic. Now debating on painting the insert along with the bumper or tape it off. I used wood and a ratchet strap to hold it in place. I was not going to sit and hold each one for 30 min lol. Plus I'm spraying trucks today lol

All, anyone do business with Thrashed Offroad? They were originally Mid Atlantic Off Road where I bought my limb risers from. It was already a tad sketchy trying to get the parts from them as they never answered any emails.
They have a crazy deal on 4WP bumpers/sliders for the 3rd gen, but it seems a bit too good to be true.
