It is a Samsung A03S that can be picked up as a prepaid phone ($43 in my case).
The app is called DMD2 which is a motorcycle oriented app.
I also have google maps, OsmAnd, and Maps.ME for offline maps. Then just mount the phone and thats is. I used the bmw phone mount that came with my bike.

I switched from a Sena to a Pactalk at the start of the summer. I really like it, the voice commands means I no longer reach up to the helmet to switch tracks, answer the phone etc, in fact I only touch the intercom to turn it on and off.

How is the sound on the Cardo? Music, phone and intercom? Does your have the JBL speakers?

I’m running a set of OLD Sena SMH10s. They have served well and still work ok, but the batteries are getting weak and I have to hook up a USB charger mid ride. I’ve actually replaced the batteries once, was a pain to find equivalent cells and then cut/splice/solder to get them into the Sena. So leaning heavily to just replace.

    Thx.

I just went from a sena SMH10R (the slim one, not quite the same as yours) to a cardo packtalk NEO and HOLY SHIT it was a night and day difference. Regret not doing it sooner.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Good day to rip it with a client.

Today was all about the basics. It was her first time Offroad and she did awesome.

Listen to every word I said, was safe and had a blast !

I also switched from the SMH-10R which I liked ok for the sound. THe pactalk slim has the JBLs and it's a nice crisp sound with some bass. It's been my experience the helmet and your speaker placement can make or break the sound you end up with. I've got an Arai XD4 which isn't the quietist, listening to music it's nice up to about 55 then I'm competing with the helmet's wind noise, voice commands work very well.

Long day of riding today, went to San Francisco in the morning, then went to Sacramento to go RC drifting. I packed up all my tools, two cars and radio into a rolling duffel bag and strapped it to the Versys. I think I rode close to 300 miles today.

Managed to put a few miles on the Buell and Honda yesterday. Plan was just to ride Buell bust since it's been sitting for a while the battery was weak and it wouldn't start. Plugged in battery tender and took Honda. Rode about 20 miles then came home and Buell now started so it got a nice 20 mile loop as well. Washed FJR for a trip next week, going to detail and wax later today.

Off topic. How does one keep thieves from rummaging thru their car?

I got a tenant back in ATL who is having his car gone thru weekly. He leaves it unlocked, parked up the driveway in the carport.
These kids are armed and do not give a fuck. Best to not confront them unless you want a gun battle.

Cops obviously can’t help nor could they in ATL. There are way more savages there than good people.

I got them on multiple cameras, locking the car only makes them bust the window. Definitely won’t have him confront them.

I have had an altercation myself and going to court over it wasn’t fun. Nor is taking someone’s life over some BS.

Have him load a shotgun with salt rock. That'll send a message.

The only thing to do is.........nothing. Until the cops get them off the street or someone kills them, they will continue to do what they're doing b/c of no consequences. I personally wouldn't want to confront them b/c I don't want to be in a situation where I have to defend my life..........b/c I can assure you that my life means more to me than theirs does.

It’s a rough one out there….and I get it. If I had a shit life, didn’t know my dad, my mom was a crack whore and I fought my 9 siblings from my Cheerios..cause all we got is Cheerios. I get it…life sucks and will always suck for them.

I have had my share of altercations there, some not ending well. Just sucks, cause criminals have nothing to fear.

Hell last time I was summoned for jury, I wouldn’t be a part of it. Judge asked me why I couldn’t give a non biased judgment.

I flat out said this whole city is fucked, with the most fucked people I have met. I said the whole town should be wiped out and started over.
