Maybe you didn't put enough coats on? I but a total of 4 coats on mine and allowed each one of them about 30 min between coats to dry really could good before adding the next one.

As far as the tape, i didn't tape my badges.. Simply tape a little square surrounding the badges for over spray and spray the entire area.. When you start peeling, the dip should peel right up next to the letters and then break off..
    Begin spray like this

    Will give you this

Take your time peeling and you get this!

plasti dipped my front valence about a week ago, well for the second time. the first time i did it it started raining during the process, and didnt have FULL access to my garage, long story short the end result was not what i wanted so the next weekend i peeled it off and re did it. this time i found it MUCH MUCH easier to use electrical tape to tape the edges since it stretches more it was ALOT easier to follow the curve of the bumper, i did 3 light coats and a 4th thicker coat and peeled the tape before it all dried and it left perfect lines

^^Thats a good idea! it was a pain masking the curve. My lines arent bad but they could be better. :)

Im always looking at it now, I freakin love the new look!

yep after the first fail and having a hard time masking the curve i sat and thought about it and saw the electrical tape and figured id give it a shot, i was actually surprised how much easier it was. it made it possible to have one continuous piece of tape for each side which was convenient when removing the tape

Yea I went ahead and bought some double sided tape. If you do take them off, get the red backed tape. It's thinner so the badge doesn't stick out as far.

Plasti dipped the back of the passenger seat tray. I use it all the time for my son, so i thought that it would help out with more grip.

I wanted to break-up up the silver and not go all black on my wheels. To dress up the factory look, I added some detail by painting the logo with lacguer and plasti-dip on the outer center.

The plasti-dip gave me the option to easily remove the coating if I didn't like it. I like it.

To make this work, I masked and cup out the logo then painted it. Once dry and touched up, I moved to the outer center for the plasti-dip. I used a drink cup to mask for the outer center plasti-dip. I just removed it after the coat was applied and moved to the next center, so no sticking or pulling of the coat occurred.
