I'd rather take my time and do it right once than rush through a half assed job.

I feel like any wiring job takes a while longer to properly dress cables. The "install" is quick but the dressing takes time.

First camping trip with the new truck. Love this setup

Thanks @Discount Tire for setting me up with the wheels/tires. They have already proven to do great on steep inclines with loose dirt/sand

Installed bed support that won't bust you or whatever is on the bed like the L bracket styles. Drilled out the 'optional' holes for hardware, honestly it should be mandatory considering the stresses being imposed on a singular rather thin bolt at the top for it to be considered 'bolt-on, no drilling required'.

Yes I know the painting is shit, and you are not supposed to use the holes in the bracket as guides, but couldn't find my punch and honestly couldn't be bothered to take the brackets off after fitting them, if it was someones else ride and I was being paid to do it, that would have been a different story.

Also, installed a catch can kit, hood strut, and found a injen intake on clearance for 30% off, so kinda just got it.

But, best mod by far, a B&M shifter. No more slamming into reverse when I wanted 1st when short stopping, reverse indent is really really weak with the stock shifter.

eliteracefab.com for 318.18 atm, so a touch cheaper then what I paid, although have no experience with them.

The one I got came from jeepandtruckparts.com for $323.99

Part number is EVO2200, recommend the dry filter unless you have a good reason to go with the oiled option.

But do not expect much in the power gains department apart from noise, like the throttle body hiss as it opens and closes, which sounds pretty neat, also keep getting comments that it sounds more like diesel engine.

    Just gettin’ started
Technically yesterday but didn’t finish till after dark

    More today

Installed these RedRock side steps for better access for my wife. Although they look decent, you get what you pay for. Can’t recommend them. I’m pretty handy and these were a mess to put on. Hardware is pretty janky. They’ll do for now. Fun fact: I had to use a 8x1.25 thread chaser on almost every factory bolt hole where these install. Not sure why they were pre-galled, lol. The plastic plugs provide little protection I guess.

Got the OTT tune with light/mild throttle response on my ‘22 TRD OR DC LB and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent on a vehicle.

It's not always what you've done TO but what you've done FOR your Tacoma.
I finished the walls and gave it a nicer cozy place to sleep this winter.

Well printed out the Husky Centerline TS Weight distribution Hitch manual. I took it off my wife's Dodge grand caravan.. I followed step by step in the manual and adjusted everything according to what it said. Everything needed to be changed. Some things went up. Some things went down. In the end. I did the final measurement and when the trailer was on the hitch and only the hitch. The truck was 100% perfectly level just like there was no weight on the truck trailer hitch. Mission accomplished! Ready for the camping trip next friday. I am PRETTY sure the people from the camper store didnt have it adjusted right on my wife's car.

That's great! Did you also change out the spare tire? How about the TPMS sensors? Did you swap them over from the stock set?
