1997 Tacoma Sound Deadening Installation

Probably nobody but me can tell you this but, if you really want to block noise from the periphery, seal the perimeter of your door panels, and bolster the seals of your windows.

 

Hey I did this recently! I did this to try and quiet down the ticking noises, and make the ride quieter. This killmat stuff is pretty darn nice.

I had to look up what jute was.
I may do that for the cab.

 

I hadn't thought of doing the hood.

Getting replacement door seals is next on my list.
I've been searching for similar seals that aren't OEM to keep the price down.
Luckily, this site has quite a few people who have done the same thing, so it shouldn't take long to find a suitable replacement.

 

I did the driver side door today.
Same process as the passenger door but took a little less time.

 

I managed to save all the little clips on this door also.

 

This one was already a little damaged but it still works

 

I messed a few places up on this door but everything should work fine once it gets covered with the door panel.
