New Cooper Road+Trail AT

Anybody else see this? Local Goodyear shop advertises them for $219 265/75/16 but havent seen any reviews. Face value looks good imo

My 22 sr5 is still stock and will likely stay that way for a while, except I'll upgrade tires once these stock 245 toyo tires wear out. I had a set of cooper at3 on my 02 4runner go 60k miles, replaced them with another set of at3. I should have took them off the 4runner when I sold it for the taco but too late now.

 

That’s one hell of a tread life warranty.

I have had good experience with Cooper AT3 tires. I’m interested in this new tire and I’ll look into it when I’m ready to buy.

I've run 6 sets of Coopers on my 2012 Tacoma. Best value I've found so far, smooth ride, good grip in rain & snow.

I put ~50k miles a year on my truck so I get a new set every 12-15 months or so.

I'll look for these next time I need tires.

I just bought these for a 4th tire free and a $100 rebate. Install next month.

 

Will be interesting to see how they hold up. I had a couple sets of the regular AT3's and while they had excellent traction in bad weather, one set would not balance. A full set of the new Trail AT's are $842 installed at my local tire place for the stock 265 size.

 

Wanted to get a set of AT3 4S but local shop only had these available. Thought I'd post pics for the Discover Road+Trail AT's in 265/65R18.

 

Anyone have any opinions of these yet?

Went a little over 300 miles round trip yesterday afternoon and can say these drive great on the highway but I have dropped a few mpgs. I had been getting around 21.5 before on the stock Michelin LTX m/s2 and was at 18.5 yesterday on a very familiar route, though I also went up an inch in tire size as well so I'm honestly quite happy still getting 18+. No discernable road noise and steering input is very similar to the stock LTX with a far more pronounced tread to the tire. So very good initial impressions.

With only moderate around town driving since, still don't have a ton of mileage on them but I really do like them a lot.

 

I have been told that these will be the replacement for the Discoverer AT3 4s.

 

Anyone have a review on these yet?

I just swapped from Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs to the Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT. 265/70/17

Duratracs: Wet pavement in two wheel drive I would spin a lot
Coopers: Wet pavement solid grip

Duratracs: Dry pavement on long trips were noticeably loud
Coopers: Dry pavement on long trips were noticeably quieter (Not sure how they stack up against stock)

Unfortunately all the snow has melted here so I won't have a winter driving review until later this year.

 

I got a set of these put on in November. 245/70r17. It’s on my Chevy Express AWD van I have built out for camping. I have put 11,000 miles on, multiple ski trips in snow/slush, and just got back from a desert trip. The van doesn’t rock crawl but it’ll drag the frame around 4wd roads to camp spots and trailheads.
Prior tires on my 4Runner and this express:

General Grabber ATX


Short version: the Cooper Road+Trail are the best tires I’ve had, hands down.
Great grip in the snow and on wet pavement. Awesome grip on sand and gravel roads, didn’t even need to air down.
The best part: they’re super quiet. Coming from the ATX they’re basically silent. And even from the HT3 highways that were on here before, they’re quieter than those. I can finally drive 80 on the interstate without feeling like I’m going deaf from road noise.

I'm considering these to replace my Wildpeaks which are down to about 4/32 after ~20k miles. @Discount Tire Can I expect a tread wear warranty to kick in at this point or do the treads have to be lower before the new tires will be prorated?
